Monica lowered the file to her lap. She looked at Raymond who was smiling teasingly at her. “Don’t be too confident. I don’t know if the file is upside down. I was just going to flip it over but you misunderstood it first.”

“Oh.” Raymond nodded in understanding, then rose to his feet and shifted the chair in front of the table to move beside Monica. “Then leave me here. I’ll help you check these files,” he said, sitting down.

Monica sighed, glanced at Raymond who was now sitting beside her. “I can check it myself. You better go before Kareen will come and think you are approaching me,” she exclaimed.

“What if I got close to you? Are you going to keep kicking me out?” asked Raymond with a smile staring at Monica’s face so intensely. the man rested his chin with his hand resting on the table. Ouch, the stare became even more embarrassed.

“I will kick you out because I don’t like men who approach other girls while he has lovers especially his lover is my cousin. I will not tolerate it,” Monica replied, then got out of the chair and tidied up all the files on the table, about to take her. “Now go, or I’ll go!” she exclaimed irritably.

Raymond exhaled roughly and rose to his feet. he looked at Monica who was now facing him. “I will go as you wish. I will meet Kareen, maybe she’s been waiting for me.”

“Yes, get going,” Monica exclaimed curtly.

Raymond immediately left Monica with a triumphant smile. winning overseeing Monica looks jealous just because he said he was going to see Kareen.

Monica returned to sit down and put down the pile of files she was carrying with a slight slam. ‘What does it mean? Approached me but still dating Kareen. who also wants a man who has a lover? You must have looked down on me and I could bend my knees because of your charm, it won’t happen because you should be begging me!’ she said in her heart.

Raymond exits the room to find Kareen in the study and appears to be on the phone. He also approached and had time to hear his lover say, “do everything well, I will pay what you ask!” the man was standing in front of the door until his lover immediately disconnected the phone.

“Raymond,” Kareen said in surprise and immediately put her smartphone on the table. “Since when were you there?” She asked.

“Just now,” Raymond replied, then approached Kareen. he sat on the edge of his lover’s desk. “Why was the phone turned off? Who’s calling?”

“Uh, mom … She called me,” Kareen replied nervously.

“Oh.” Raymond nodded in understanding. “What did she say?” She asked again.

“She needs money, she said to increase business capital. But never mind, I’ll give it after payday,” explained Kareen with a reassuring smile. “Have you come earlier?” She asked distractedly.

“Not bad since earlier. Turns out you were having lunch outside. So, I’ll help Monica for a bit,” Raymond explained casually.

“Ah, I’m so sorry. You should have told me if you were coming, maybe we could have lunch together,” said Kareen feeling guilty.

Raymond smirked. “It’s okay, I can order my food in the canteen.”

“Yes. How about the sabotage case, is it finished?” Kareen asked.

“Yes, I’ve beaten up the culprit with Dean,” replied Raymond.

Hearing Dean’s name was mentioned, seemed to make Kareen feel curious about the news because she had not seen him for a long time since coming home from the hospital. “Is Dean recovered? Will he be back at work soon?” She asked.

“It’s quite well. I think he’s been able to beat up several criminals at once, I like his way of fighting the enemy,” said Raymond while remembering Dean’s ingenuity, then glanced at Kareen and asked, “what if he is not going back to work or is already going back to work?”

“Uh, it’s okay. I’m just sorry if Monica is always working late because she does Dean’s work alone,” Kareen replied.

“Maybe he’ll be back at work soon,” Raymond said. “Now, I want to help h/Monica, would you be angry if I was alone with her in Dean’s room?”

“No, I will not be angry. Help her not to have to work overtime. I feel sorry for her if she lacks rest,” exclaimed Kareen who acted to care about Monica.

Raymond nodded his head, then rose to his feet. “All right, I’m going to Dean’s room now.”

“Yes, I’ll also go back to my job,” Kareen says with a warm smile, but Raymond knows that smile is just a sweetener.

Raymond walked out of Kareen’s room, then headed for Dean’s room. ‘Who was she calling earlier? what did she plan to promise a fee? She also always asks about Dean, no matter I’m alone with Monica too, I don’t believe that she loves me even more.’

Because kept walking while daydreaming, Raymond unconsciously arrived at the door of Dean’s room. He immediately went in and saw Monica asleep on the sofa with the file lying on her lap.

“Beautiful, cute, and hardworking,” Raymond muttered with a smile over to the overslept Monica. He took off his jacket, then covered Monica’s knee which was visible in the suit so as not to look so sexy.

Feeling something touch her body, Monica woke up and looked at Raymond in surprise. “Raymond, why are you here again?”

“Kareen told me, she said pity you if you have to work alone,” Raymond replied casually.

Monica straightened up and pushed Raymond’s coat off her lap. she rubbed her face until she brushed her hair, then looked up at Raymond who was staring at her intensely.

“Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something wrong with me?” She asked in surprise.

“It’s okay. You better sleep again. Let me finish your work,” Raymond shouted. he took the file that was in Monica’s hand, then led it to the desk.

In the afternoon, Raymond led Kareen back to the apartment. When it came, he took Kareen’s hand and stared at her intensely. They were still in the car and it was drizzling outside.

“Kareen,” Raymond called.

“Yes,” said Kareen.

“Tomorrow I’m going back to London because the sabotage problem is over. Can I come to see you tonight? Because after that we won’t see each other for a long time.”

“Uh, yes. Just Come. I will cook a special meal for you,” Kareen exclaims with a smile.

Raymond grabs Kareen so that she sits very close to him, then brings his face closer to hers.

“Would you be sad if you didn’t see me for a long time?” Raymond whispered.

“Yes, but I will be patient because it is a risk of dating a man of another nationality,” Kareen replied.

Raymond touched Kareen’s lips in silence, then brought his face closer to her until Kareen looked nervous and closed her eyes. ‘She doesn’t love me, because if she loves me, she will be sad when separated. Somehow this taste is slowly fading because I found a lot of awkward things in you,’ he thought then kissed Kareen’s cheek.

Kareen opened her eyes and glanced at Raymond who apparently did not kiss her lips, but only stared at her intensely. “Why?” She asked.

“Come out and cook something good for me. I’ll be right here when I get home to take a shower,” Raymond shouted, smiling warmly. he was hiding his fading love. Looks like he does have plans for Kareen.
