Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 447: Chapter 20 Years Ancient Battlefield

Chapter 447: 20 Years Ancient Battlefield

Princess Lan Yi Hua looked at Lin Xiao and softly said, “Marquis Hu will come here soon. He’s going to talk about the necessary procedure for you to participate in 20 Years Ancient Battlefield.”

Lin Xiao, who had just finished his training, nodded. He had already reached Golden Core Stage 4 but there was not much difference in his body. All that he felt was that he had to absorb a lot of Qi in order to advance to the next rank.

Since the four kingdoms… now, it’s name are all Sun Kingdom now still have the protection array, the other kingdoms could only dream of taking them in. The array was designed to be able to even withstand the power of Nascent Soul Stage Cultivators, so unless they were all powerful, they were only going to destroy themselves if they wanted to take Sun Kingdom down.

“Now that all four kingdoms are under you, are you not going to change the name of the kingdom?” Prince Lin Xian asked. He was busy doing the paperwork and didn’t have much time to cultivate. Nevertheless, he was not lagging behind at all as he had already reached Golden Core Stage 4.

It could be said that those around Lin Xiao were all already at Golden Core Stage 4.

“I don’t have any good idea to change it.” Lin Xiao’s mind was blank. It was only now that he realized that when the Emperor changed, it was possible to change the name of the kingdom. After all, he was not really from the previous Emperor’s direct lineage.

“You can pick a name that suit you the most.” Princess Lan Yi Hua smiled. “There’s no pressure for you to pick a name. You can take your time.”

“Hmm… Xiao Hu Kingdom?”

“…You really want to use your name?” Prince Lin San was speechless. Other Emperors were thinking of a way to change their name by creating some kind of domineering title but Lin Xiao was using his name directly.

Lin Xiao shrugged. “Just try to ask the elders, if it pass, it passed but if not, it’s fine.”

“You’re surprisingly easygoing.”

“That’s just a name.”

“It’s not! Don’t you understand that you’re going to be put into the history and that there will be a lot of people who are going after you! Saying that you’re only going to name it like that will only backfire you. What if you regret it in the future and….”

Lin Xiao was looking at his second brother… He never knew that his brother could be so nagging.

It took him some effort before he could escape. Thankfully, Marquis Hu came at the right time and they ushered him to the hall.

“I hope I didn’t trouble you too much, Marquis Hu.” Lin Xiao smiled bitterly when he saw Marquis Hu in front of him.

Princess Lan Yi Hua was the one dealing with the matter in Hua Lan Kingdom. As the former princess, it was easy for her to get the approval of the elders there and with the Emperor was no more and Princess Lan Xiao Yue had long disappeared and probably crippled, there was really not much they could do.

Marquis Hu was one of the few whom they selected to stay in Hua Lan Kingdom as one of the grand elder.

“It’s nothing much.” Marquis Hu waved his hand. Being at Golden Core Stage 6, it was clear that when his cultivation no longer suppressed, he looked much more powerful.

However, Lin Xiao was not exactly afraid.

The lake surrounding the palace was not for a joke. He could summon Lin Hu anytime when he was in the palace. If someone tried to mess around with him, he didn’t mind letting them taste their own medicine.

It was just…

Lin Xiao wanted to advance to Golden Core Stage 5 faster.

“Could you please tell me more about the 20 Years Ancient Battlefield?” Lin Xiao went straight to the point. He didn’t like to go around and around just to talk about one thing.

Marquis Hu nodded. “As you might have known, resources are limited and in order to develop faster, they’re important. 20 Years Ancient Battlefield didn’t mean that you’re going to stay there for 20 years. In fact, it’s just 3 years.”

“3 Years?” Lin Xiao was stumped. That was actually quite long too for him.

“Yes. 20 Years Ancient battlefield occurred once every 20 years, which is why they named as such.” Of course, Marquis Hu didn’t know who come up with the name of the event.

Lin Xiao nodded. “The participants?”

“As long as you’re below 40 years of age, you can participate.” Marquis Hu looked at Lin Xiao. “You’re new so you can submit the name of the participants you want to come along with you. It’s very likely that the number is limited, so make sure that you submit less than 10 people.”

“Why 10?”

“Because small kingdoms mostly can only send up to 5 and there are only very few of them who can send 10. Since you’re new, they might make exception, but I can’t be too sure.”

Lin Xiao thought for a moment. He actually wanted to go with Prince Lin Yan, Princess Lan Yi Hua, Xia Ye, Prince Lin San, and Prince Fu Liang. But if they can only be 5 people…

“Alright, I’ll send the list.”

“You can actually make a competition if you’re worried that people might think you’re unfair.” Marquis Hu smiled. “I’m sure that you’ve already thought of a way.”

“Yes.”

Lin Xiao smiled brightly.

“I’ll be waiting for your good news. I’ll inform them about your participation… it’ll start in another month.”

“I understand.”

One month.

Lin Xiao’s eyes burned with anticipation as he wanted to test his skills against those who were powerful.

…

The next day, it was announced that everyone under 40 years old who have advanced to at least Golden Core Stage 4 could gather in the capital city for a chance to earn their kingdom more resources.

But upon hearing the announcement, many people blanched.

Just reaching Golden Core Stage 3 under 40 years old was already difficult enough. Not everyone dared to attempt to advance to Golden Core Stage 4 and even if some of them succeed, they all knew that they were not powerful.

Thus, the number of participants were very few.
