Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 421: Princess Lan Xiao Yue’s Decision

Chapter 421: Princess Lan Xiao Yue’s Decision

Lin Xiao followed Princess Lan Yi Hua outside the hall before he pulled her to his embrace. She might not show much in her wooden expression that she showed back in the hall, but he could notice that her body was trembling slightly. No matter what was said or done, Hua Lan Kingdom Emperor was still her father.

It was truly unthinkable for a father to think so low of his own daughter to the point that he wanted to throw her away.

Lin Xiao knew that he would never be able to understand something like that. But he understood that children would want parents’ care because that was what he longed when he was a child. After all, his parents were not his real parents but they still cared for him greatly which was enough for him.

“You alright?”

“Yeah.” Burying her head into Lin Xiao’s embrace, Princess Lan Yi Hua felt much better. She felt saver in his embrace. Despite the fact that the two of them were not a match against her father, she knew that he would protect her.

Lin Xiao sighed and didn’t release her. He only stepped to the side so as to not block the route out at all. Before long, the others, Prince Lin Xian, Prince Lin San, Lu Jian, Prince Lin Yan, and Lin Yun also came out.

“The party is inside and not here,” Lin Xiao said helplessly.

“Well, it’s almost the time for the main event. Don’t you want to watch how the other princes will fall for your husband’s scheme?” Fan Ling also came out and asked teasingly to the princess.

Princess Lan Yi Hua had heard about Lin Xiao wanting to sow seeds of discord between the two princes. She raised her head. “Now?”

“Yes. Just listen in.”

At this moment, Sun Kingdom Emperor had stood up and then looked at the Hua Lan Kingdom Emperor with a smile. It was clear that he was planning to give an announcement right now.

“Everyone, I’m here to give you all an announcement regarding the collaboration between Sun Kingdom and also Hua Lan Kingdom. We have agreed on marriage union between the two kingdoms. And today, we would like to agree on the engagement between a prince from Sun Kingdom with the Second Princess of Hua Lan Kingdom.”

The people were all looking towards Sun Kingdom Emperor. They were all curious as to who the Emperor would pick to be the princess’ fiancé.

Looking at the surroundings people, Sun Kingdom Emperor looked at his son. “Would you like me to say it first or you say it yourself?”

Prince Lin Fei, who had dressed elegantly for the purpose of this event, walked towards Princess Lan Xiao Yue. He looked at her and smiled brightly before extending his hand. “Would you like to be engaged with me, Your Highness?”

Now, everyone’s attention was shifted to the two.

Princess Lan Xiao Yue should have been accepting Prince Lin Fei under everyone’s gaze and answered their expectation. However…

“No.”

“Princess Lan Xiao Yue?” Sun Kingdom Emperor was stunned.

Even Hua Lan Kingdom Emperor was surprised at his daughter’s sudden answer that was out of the expectation.

Princess Lan Xiao Yue didn’t pay any attention to their faces as she walked across the hall. Ever since she had heard about Prince Lin Bo Wang, she had been trying to figure out more about the prince. Just like what those people said, he was low profile, yet he never been put into disadvantages.

In her eyes, Prince Lin Bo Wang was more suitable than the arrogant Prince Lin Fei.

In this grand hall, the prince didn’t look eye catching because he was keeping a low profile. Staying at one place while striking some deals with the noble families here and there, Prince Lin Bo Wang silently and stealthily increased his influence over the Hua Lan Kingdom’s circle.

Princess Lan Xiao Yue has been watching him, so she could pinpoint his location without the need to search for him anymore. Her eyes lit up upon seeing the young man she had been wanting to get close to.

“Prince Lin Bo Wang, would you like to be engaged instead?”

Silence.

Everyone was stunned to see Princess Lan Xiao Yue be the one to ask. Usually, she was very timid and lovable to the point that they couldn’t bear to see any blemish on her. but now… she was the one who asked for the hand of a prince who was only staying at one corner.

She’s… so bold.

Prince Lin Bo Wang looked at Prince Lan Xiao Yue silently. He had been trying to keep low profile because it was not the time for him to go against Prince Lin Fei yet. Unfortunately, the princess took note of him first.

Should he accept or not?

If he didn’t, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to get the princess again in the future when he finally made his move. On the other hand, if he accepted, Prince Lin Fei would be raging because he was discarded by the princess.

How troublesome.

Prince Lin Bo Wang kept on a gentlemanly smile to the princess. “Of course.”

Sss!

Some people sucked up long breath when they heard what Prince Lin Bo Wang said. Those who were siding with Prince Lin Fei were annoyed and trying to scheme how to kill this annoying nuisance in front of them.

‘Damn it!’

Prince Lin Fei’s eyes were red when he looked at the two of them. If only this was not the public venue, he would have long exploded and then tried to get back Princess Lan Xiao Yue.

For the past four years, he had been trying his best to get close to the princess and made his presence known to her. He had tried everything just to make sure that she would only remember him and him alone.

But now…

‘LIN BO WANG! I WON’T FORGIVE YOU!’ Prince Lin Fei screamed inside his mind as he turned around in rage.
