Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 253: Beast Horde

Chapter 253: Beast Horde

After staying in the cave for so long, Lin Xiao had long dropped the formalities and would not use it again unless it was necessary.

He walked to the others, who were also itching to grow stronger faster than before. They were all aiming to become Golden Core Stage as fast as possible. Amongst them, Fan Ling was the most desperate because she had to grow stronger faster.

Facing the others who were also improving quickly, she naturally felt the pressure to be faster than them.

Being someone who was coming from a family that was much more well off, she would be a joke if she couldn’t stay ahead of her peers. Thus, Fan Ling worked the hardest and created a lot of burn mark on the wall in the cave.

‘Lin Hu, can I make better training place for them?’

Lin Hu rolled his body around and shook his head. ‘You can naturally increase more of the concentration and even make it naturally enter their body. However, you’re going to attract more people if you attempt that.’

It was already hard enough for them to keep the place a secret and there were already a lot of beasts that came here. Denser Qi and the increase in the amount would only lead more beasts and even human to come here.

‘There’s no disguise method?’

‘With your current cultivation level, you can’t maintain it. While you might be using the Dragon Words to attract the Qi, it can only be maintained by your own Qi. Other formation will require you to be at higher stage or you won’t be able to improve on your own.’

‘Alright.’

“Brother,” Lin Yun called from the side. “Be my sparring partner after this. I want to train my Mountain Sword Skill.”

“Eh, I want to spar with you first,” Fan Ling interjected. She had already taken out her fan and looked like she was ready to attack him.

Lin Xiao was speechless.

Before he could answer, he was already bombarded by the two’s attack.

…

Eight months passed ever since they first came to the cave.

“F*ck! Wake up!”

“We’re awake!” Lin Xiao shouted back. With such tremor on the ground, how could they even stay asleep?

They all swiftly moved to the entrance of the cave. After training for some time, they all had already learned how to cooperate with each other as they hunted beasts and sparred on daily basis. But this time, it was not ordinary beast that came to their front door.

“Beast horde?” Lin Xiao furrowed his brows.

Lin Hu snorted. ‘Now that a beast horde had come, it’s time for you to showcase the result of your training. Don’t say that you’re unable to defeat these puny fries.’

Puny fries?

Lin Xiao really got the urge to strangle this annoying dragon. It was easy for him to say that but the majority of the beasts in front of him were still between rank 3 to 4. If they had to fight so many beasts all at once, they wouldn’t be able to survive.

Easy my *ss!

Fan Ling glanced at Lu Jian and furrowed her brows. “Let’s deal with them at the entrance of the cave. At the very least, the beasts wouldn’t be able to enter too deep inside, so we can fight one at a time.”

Lin Yun was perplexed. “What if they destroy the cave entrance and trapped us here?”

“…” I didn’t think about that.

Lu Jian shrugged. “Let’s just try.”

As he said that, he started to sing and everyone tacitly agreed to maintain at least two meters’ distance from him. No one wanted to torture themselves with his falsetto singing unless they were crazy to suffer on their own volition.

And there were none of them right now who wanted to feel the pain.

“Why do I feel that your voice didn’t have any improvement?” Lin Xiao resisted the urge to freeze his own ear. Lu Jian’s voice was very upsetting and could easily make one wished to beat him up even if there was no effect in their overall battle power.

“Gah, I can’t believe your voice is still so bad….” Fan Ling grimaced. She really wished from the bottom of her heart that the one who came with them was not that Lu Jian but rather Sui Wenyan. At the very least, Sui Wenyan’s voice was very melodious and would not make them itched to beat her up.

But if they were her opponent, the effect of her voice would render them weaker.

Han Jiang’s face also contorted.

Even the usually quiet Xia Ye also glared at Lu Jian. They had suffered a lot thanks to his voice.

Lu Jian ignored the others and continued to sing. He was mostly focusing on infusing his Qi into his voice. Where would he have the time to care whether his voice was presentable or not? It was good enough for him.

The beasts were certainly getting affected as those that were originally heading their way was making their attempt to escape. None of them got close to the cave at all as they dispersed towards other direction.

Lin San whistled. “Even beasts didn’t like Lu Jian’s voice. Damn, your voice is truly a killer.”

The others: “…” is that the main point?

In any case, they all swiftly formed a formation of 8 people with Lin Xiao and Princess Lan Yi Hua stood at the middle.

“You can let them come now and just use your skill to weaken them.”

Affecting these beasts required a lot of Qi. If they asked Lu Jian to continue making the beasts go away, Lu Jian would drop dead first before he succeeded. Rather than driving them away, it would be better to just weaken them, which would make it easier for his teammates to deal with them.

“Ok.” Lu Jian’s voice changed for a bit before he continued to sing.

At that moment, the beasts pounced in their direction.

Slash!

“Everyone, get ready! Don’t falter!”

“YES!”
