Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 240: Against Beast Rank Chapter 5 (Chapter 2)

Chapter 240: Against Beast Rank 5 (2)

Roar!

The angry beast kicked towards Lin Xiao after that attack. Lin Xiao managed to escape, but the sheer pressure had disrupted the flow of Qi inside his body. His heart was shaken at the thought that the beast was much stronger than him.

The place where he attacked barely created any wound. It looked so pitiful just like a scratch and nothing more.

Prince Lin Xian was also a swordsman as he held his sword. He furrowed his brows and then raised his sword while he was still a distance away. Muttering something, lights appeared from the tip of his sword as he began to move.

It was similar with Princess Lan Yi Hua, but there were much more light.

Princess Lan Yi Hua’s eyes widened as she held her twin sword at the front. While she couldn’t create much damage, she could annoy the bear and distract it from the real damaging attack.

Swish!

Bang! Bang!

The sword Qi they produced headed straight to the bear’s head as it roared. The soundwave immediately blocked some of the sword Qi but the rest still managed to hit its head without any difficulties.

Lin Xiao’s lips twitched when he saw the bear’s face was filled with scratch. However, neither one of them managed to hit its vital point during their exchange. The bear was tough…

“Have you ever fought against beast rank 5 before?”

“Hmm?” Prince Lin Xian shook his head. “Not yet. However, even though beast rank 5 is close in strength with Golden Core Stage Cultivator, there’s still quite a distance between a Foundation Establishment Cultivator who’s about to make a breakthrough and the real Golden Core Stage Cultivator.”

Hearing that, Lin Xiao’s expression turned solemn. He had been thinking that he might have a chance to go against those powerful cultivators when he was still at Foundation Establishment Stage. But it seemed that his dream was too stupid.

The gap between their strength was too much.

Crack!

Prince Lin San immediately break the next shield that the bear formed. His brows furrowed. “I can’t see the bear’s weakness because it’s much stronger than me. However, I’ll be able to destroy the Qi shield it formed easily.”

“I’ll leave the task of destroying the Qi shield to you.”

“Aye.”

Swish!

Prince Lin Xian got closer while he noticed that Fan Ling had also attacked the bear’s leg once more. Her fan fluttered as flames were produced. However, there was determined gaze in her eyes that would stop anyone from getting close to her.

‘What a scorching flame,’ Prince Lin Xian muttered when he saw the area below the bear had turned into a field of flame. It was quite scary to think that such a petite woman was capable to create such fire.

Raising his sword once more, prince Lin Xian began to make his preparation as he murmured several words. No one was crazy enough to shout the skill they were about to use even when they were facing beasts.

He only muttered it silently or in their hearts.

Dragon Roar Swords, Second Stance.

In but a moment, Prince Lin Xian had appeared not far from the bear with its body partially in midair. As if he was walking on the air, Prince Lin Xian rushed and the sound of flesh tearing could be heard.

Slash!

Blood poured on the ground followed by the sound of the bear roaring.

Bang!

Prince Lin Xian evaded almost immediately and then coughed. Just like Lin Xiao, he managed to escape the attack but not the wave of Qi. It was so fast and they couldn’t even see it.

Lin Xiao could see the bear’s neck was now torn in quite a deep wound. However, the blood that poured out would not be enough to kill the bear at all.

“I’ll go.”

“Wait, the disruption of your Qi is dangerous!” Prince Lin Xian warned in hurry.

“I’m fine.”

With the Nourishing Lake Technique fully operating within Lin Xiao’s body, he only required a few seconds to recover to his previous condition. While the attack that Prince Lin Xian did looked long, it was actually only a few seconds.

Swish!

Lake Mirror.

Several of Lin Xiao’s shadow appeared on the place where he previously was located. It looked as if there were several more people who were charging towards the beast. At the same time, Lin Xiao raised his sword and muttered silently.

Chilling Lake Sword, Second Stance!

The sword was aimed towards the bear’s neck where the wound was located. However, the bear swiftly evaded and the sword barely grazed its skin.

Behind him, Princess Lan Yi Hua had also appeared and inserted Qi into her twin sword as she rushed over to the bear’s back. With determined expression, she plunged the small sword deep into the bear’s back.

Roar!

Lin Xiao kicked the bear’s leg and prompted himself on the air. His eyes were focused on the wound as he muttered to himself.

Chilling Lake Sword, Third Stance.

Stab!

Coldness began to permeate from within Lin Xiao’s sword and in but a moment, the area where the sword pierced had turned into ice. Lin Xiao retreated back and saw the bear’s paw hitting him at that moment.

Bang!

Flung to the trees, Lin Xiao coughed. He truly needed a skill that would allow him to walk midair. If this continues, he would be at utter disadvantage whenever someone who could fly fought him.

‘You’ll be able to float when you reach Golden Core Stage,’ Lin Hu’s swords stopped Lin Xiao’s thought of searching for technique.

He glanced and saw Prince Lin Xian had also stood up again and rushed towards the beast. His sword danced on the air before it headed towards the same wound again. The frozen area was still spreading on one side and he created a large gash on the chest before he kicked it to bring himself back, thus avoiding the attack.

Lin Xiao’s lips twitched when he saw that. it seemed that he should have been able to do the same if only he was careful enough.
