Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 208: Arena Battles (Chapter 2)

Chapter 208: Arena Battles (2)

Lin Xiao clicked his tongue. He was taking his time so that no one would realize that he would be able to defeat the prince so easily. After evading for a few more times, he charged forward and punched faster than before.

Bang!

A figure was sent flying like a snapped kite.

Thud!

He landed outside the arena.

Standing on the arena, Lin Xiao looked in Prince Lin Kai’s direction and cupped his hand politely. “Thank you very much for giving me face, Your Highness.”

Pfft!

Lin Yun was trying hard to hold his laugh when he heard what Lin Xiao said. It was clear that Lin Xiao was the one who gave Prince Lin Kai face by not defeating the young prince right away. However, the way he talked made it sounded as if the latter was the one who gave him face by not going as hard as possible.

“He’s better than I expected,” Han Jiang murmured. When he chose to follow Lin Xiao, he was simply intrigued by someone who was so confident to go against the teacher and the princes. Most of the people who dared to do so were either hidden genius or just plain idiot.

Of course, at first, he did think that Lin Xiao was the latter.

But seeing that there were already several people who were following Lin Xiao and one of them was even more powerful than Lin Xiao, he began to doubt what he thought at first. In the end, he chose to try.

The four princes might be powerful, but he had no interest in them. And if they stayed as lone figure in the academy, it was clear that they might not end well because there were always some bullying here and there. Why not joined a faction unrelated to the four princes, then?

There were several factions like that.

He could just join one.

But looking at how Lin Xiao could deal with Prince Lin Kai with ease made him a bit doubtful. He felt that Lin Xiao was more powerful than what he had been showing all this time. And it was this thought that made him more curious just how powerful Lin Xiao was.

“Wha…?” Lu Jian was even more expressive as his mouth hang open.

Beside him, Fan Ling furrowed her brows. “Close your mouth.”

“But, but… he’s Body Training Rank 10 who can defeat Foundation Establishment.”

“That’s because Prince Lin Kai give him face,” Fan Ling said shamelessly, not caring whether it was the truth or not.

Lu Jian was speechless. Even an idiot could see that Prince Lin Kai didn’t look like he was going easy on Lin Xiao. However, if even Fan Ling said that, who would dare to say otherwise? Those who were weaker than her had already shut their mouths.

Fan Ling herself was actually surprised by Lin Xiao’s capabilities. However, she had already thought that the brat must had some strength on his own to back up his loud mouth. As it turned out, she was correct.

He did have power to back him up.

Xia Ye said nothing and only his eyes shone with peculiar glint for a moment. He didn’t do anything but to keep watching from the side.

*cough*

Prince Lin Kai looked at Lin Xiao with hatred. He had never lost in the past aside against his siblings who were also contending for the throne. Now, there was an ordinary country bumpkin who raised his hand against him and won.

He felt vexed.

“You’re cheating!”

“Cheating?” Lin Xiao blinked his eyes. He was originally planning to leave some face for the prince, but it didn’t look like Prince Lin Kai appreciated what he did. “How do I cheat, Your Highness? We’re fighting under the eyes of the teacher and many other people. I’m only fighting with you with my capabilities.”

Prince Lin Kai snorted and took out a medicine to heal his wound. He stood up and a sword appeared on his hand. “The fight just now didn’t count! I want to fight against you again!”

The teacher arched his eyebrows. He looked at Lin Xiao as if asking whether the young man would accept. After the fight just now, their ranking had switched, so Lin Xiao’s ranking was higher than Prince Lin Kai. Naturally, it was possible for Prince Lin Kai to challenge Lin Xiao now.

“Sure.”

Lin Xiao’s lips curled up. He was not afraid of this prince at all. Since he wanted another fight, he would grant him another fight!

Swish!

Utilizing his movement’s technique, Prince Lin Xiao arrived by Lin Xiao’s side within a few breaths of time. To be able to move quite a far distance at such short time proved that the skill he learned must be extraordinary.

However, Lin Xiao had already gotten used with his younger brother and also Wenren Yu attacking him using Moon Evasion. Moon Evasion was known as one of the best movement martial art there was. If one could learn it to high level, they could instantly move several kilometers away.

Of course, Lin Xiao couldn’t do that and only several meter.

Swish!

The sword didn’t hit its target because Lin Xiao had changed his center of gravity lower and then stepped back to evade the attack. He could have taken a sword out but right now, Lin Xiao felt that his sword skill was too much to defeat this prince.

“Don’t run!”

Prince Lin Kai switched his stance and attacked Lin Xiao again. This time, Lin Xiao stepped forward and the sword missed him by a few millimeters away. His hand stretched forward and powerful force was generated.

Mountain Punch!

Bang!

Once more, a figure was flying to the edge of the arena just like a snapped kite.

Everyone’s eyes followed the figure and felt a bit strange deep down. For some reason, they felt that the fight was truly one sided this time and the result was simply the same as before.
