Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 201: Three Months’ Ranking

Chapter 201: Three Months’ Ranking

Time passed swiftly.

During this time, Lin Xiao spend his time to practice his physical ability every two days. On the day they didn’t have practice, they would head to the library and began to cram the materials that they needed to learn. It had become their routine and soon, they had already memorized most of the basic.

“So, what are the test?” Lin Xiao asked when it was already three months.

“First, you’ll be tested in theory test. Second, you’ll be tested your capabilities in terms of fighting skill.”

“Fighting in arena?” Lin Xiao asked. If he had to say, he wanted to try his luck in fighting against the other cultivators. Especially that annoying prince.

Sui Wenyan glanced at Lin Xiao and shook her head. “Examination ground.”

“Eh? You’re ranked based on that?”

“Yeah, based on the time and also the level you can pass. However, you can change the ranking by challenging other students if you want,” Han Jiang explained. He looked at Lin Xiao with wonder. While they didn’t follow the theoretical class, Lin Xiao should have basic knowledge regarding such matter, right?

Unfortunately, he had overestimated Lin Xiao because the young man was clearly incapable of thinking that he required the information before he truly needed it.

“Alright, let’s go to the field.”

Brimmed with confidence, Lin Xiao headed to the designated area. There were already a lot of students gathering there and looked around. No one wanted to be the guinea pig again, so they were waiting for others to test the skill of the examination ground.

“Sister.”

The melodious voice rang in the field. Lin Xiao was about to ignore it when he noticed the one who spoke. ‘Why is that rotten b*tch here again?’

Princess Lan Yi Hua glanced at her sister then lowered her eyes to hide the glint within her eyes. There was no need for genius to know that she didn’t like her younger sister, yet she didn’t show it upfront.

“Sister?” Princess Lan Xiao Yue called out again, her tone was uncertain.

“Didn’t you hear that she’s calling you?” Prince Lin Hong, who was watching from the side, felt a bit bad when he heard Princess Lan Xiao Yue didn’t get any reply. In his eyes, she was a goddess and naturally was the best.

Princess Lan Yi Hua ignored the two of them and walked closer to Lin Xiao. Talking with them would only make her feel like throwing up. There was no need for her to disgust herself by staying close to that woman.

“You…”

“Do you plan to try the testing first, Prince Lin Hong?” Lin Xiao asked while pointing to the front nonchalantly.

Prince Lin Hong was displeased when he heard that someone interrupted him. He glared at Lin Xiao. “This is not your business, don’t interfere in this matter, you Country Bumpkin!”

Lin Xiao looked at Prince Lin Hong as if he was seeing an idiot. It was rare for him to be able to mock others because usually, it was other people who would usually look at him like that because of his low intelligence and his friends’ tease.

“I’m only asking if you want to try first the test since everyone is waiting for someone great to try first,” Lin Xiao acted as if he was innocent.

Prince Lin Hong’s face flushed. “No.”

“I see, so Prince Lin Hong is not great.”

“What in the world are you talking about?”

Lin Xiao blinked his eyes. “Since I’m saying that everyone is waiting for someone great to enter the test first, naturally those who didn’t want to enter first is not great, am I wrong?”

It was nothing more than word play that Lin Xiao thought in the spurt of the moment. But seeing how Prince Lin Hong was greatly affected, Lin Xiao thought to himself that he should study more word play in the future. That way, he would be able to infuriate his opponent and threw them off their pace.

Hmm, that was a great plan.

“You! You’re the one who’s not great!”

“Of course I’m not great. After all, compared to Prince Lin Kai who’s about to try the test first, I’m not as courageous.”

Prince Lin Kai, who was studying the building before him to figure out what kind of test they would have, almost spat out blood when he heard he was mentioned. Why in the world did that annoying brat suddenly mentioned him and got him involved in their talk? He didn’t even do anything.

While Prince Lin Hong, who was on the verge of explosion looked at Prince Lin Kai, his expression turned even darker. Fortunately, he knew that he was being goaded by Lin Xiao, so he didn’t choose to enter the training ground and being the test subject.

“You… I’m busy, so I’m not going to try first.”

Everyone’s eyes looked at Prince Lin Kai, who was also getting annoyed.

“Your Highness, do you really want to try first?”

“You’re really great, Your Highness! We salute your courage!”

“Your Highness, you’re the best!”

The people around Prince Lin Kai swiftly praised Prince Lin Kai to the moon in case the young prince suddenly changed his mind. Looking at how everyone was looking him, Prince Lin Kai felt thoroughly annoyed. However, he knew that he would need their support, so it would be better if he showed shocking result right on the bat.

Hmph, he would prove himself!

With that in mind, Prince Lin Kai stepped into the training ground while the others cheered. They were now waiting for the young prince to come out and tell them what had happened inside.

“That’s surprisingly easy,” Lin Xiao commented.

Princess Lan Yi Hua smiled lightly when she heard what Lin Xiao said. From the corner of her eyes, she could see Princess Lan Xiao Yue looked awkward as she didn’t get the chance to speak at all due to Lin Xiao’s interruption.

Somehow, she felt satisfied looking at that.
