Refining the Mountains and Rivers Chapter 1701

“Sect Master Qin, please have a seat.”

Qin Yu thanked him.

The distinguished guest took a seat and disciples served them tea. The air was filled with the fragrant scent of it.

“A top grade oolong tea that is very rare in this world. Sect Master Qin, please try it.”

“Thank you Sect Master for your hospitality.”

After having a few sips, the two of them began light conversation. Sect Master Gu placed down the tea cup and said, “The Opening Heavens Sword Sect has been reestablished. If you need any help, feel free to let me know.”

Qin Yu smiled, “Sect Master Gu, even if you did not mention it, I would have asked for help. There are many things to do as the sect is set up and we also need to get new disciples. I would like to order some flying swords from the Forging Sword Sect.”

Sect Master Gu nodded, “Okay.”

With Qin Yu’s arrival today, the Forging Sword Sect’s reputation benefited from it and they would reciprocate naturally. If not, the Opening Heavens Sword Sect would definitely need to wait a while for this sudden order of flying swords.

“Thank you Sect Master Gu.” Qin Yu flipped his hand and placed an ancient coin on the table, “This is the deposit.”

During the ancient time, the ancient people once distributed immortal money made from an unusual stone.

There were not many in this world, but the value of each was astounding.

Sect Master Gu’s eyes lit up, “Ancient coin.” He reached out and held it in his hands. He used his senses to feel its aura and fell into deep thought.

Qin Yu coughed lightly, “Sect Master Gu, I have been keeping this ancient coin and there is definitely no issues with it. If you have any issues, I can use other items as a deposit.”

“Ahh…no…” Sect Master Gu was composed and he was silent for a while before he spoke, “If I may ask, where did you get this coin?”

Qin Yu looked confused.

He explained, “I sensed a hint of sword intent deep in this ancient coin and was curious.”

Qin Yu nodded, “Sect Master Gu, your keen sense displays your mastery in swordsmanship. I found this ancient coin on an ancient battleground. Its previous owner was a sword cultivator. Perhaps because it was left with its previous owner for a long time, the sword intent seeped into it.”

His breathing sped up slightly as Sect Master Gu leaned forwards, “Cough…there is something that you have to say truthfully. Did you get anything else when you found this ancient coin?”

Qin Yu seemed to hesitate.

Sect Master Gu stood up, “Sect Master Qin, this is extremely important to our sect. As long as you are able to answer truthfully, regardless of the answer, the Forging Sword Sect will give a hundred custom made flying swords that are suitable for new members.”

“This…okay.” Qin Yu nodded, “Other than this ancient coin, I also found a jade slip on the corpse. But let me tell you that I am interested in this item and will not exchange it easily.”

He then stretched out his hand and a blood-colored jade slip appeared in his palm.

Sect Master Gu stared at his palm.

Pak –

Qin Yu closed his hand and stood up to take his leave, “Sect Master Gu, I still have to visit the Spring Wind Sword Sect today and will leave first.”

“Wait!”

Sect Master Gu shouted. He took a deep breath and smiled, “Sect Master Qin, you are a precious visitor from afar; please stay for a while longer.”

Without waiting for Qin Yu to reject, he said loudly, “Men, get the pack of tea leaves from the Misty Dragon Mother Tree. I want to discuss something with Sect Master Qin.”

Qin Yu’s mouth twitched. What top grade oolong tea? In a blink of an eye, another tea from the Misty Dragon Mother Tree is available? Just the name alone demonstrated the distinct difference in quality. What about treating a guest properly? He changed his tune so quickly!

Ignoring Qin Yu’s expression, Sect Master Gu looked serious, “Whether it is sword skill or cultivation level, I admire you a lot. However, in Swallow Mountain, there are a lot of complicated politics amongst the sword sects and there is a lot of fighting. Let me tell you some things.”

The tea was served. It was good tea!

Previously, the oolong tea was already of good quality. But compared to this, it tasted like muddy water.

Qin Yu took a sip. And another. He finished the cup of tea in the third sip.

There was a hint of lament in Sect Master Gu’s eyes but he coughed lightly, “Hey, can’t you see that Sect Master Qin’s cup is empty. Hurry and pour…no, bring the entire tea pot over. I will serve him myself.”

Qin Yu tried to resist but eventually he could not win over the ‘enthusiastic’ Sect Master Gu, who helped to personally refill his tea cup.

“Sect Master Qin, in Swallow Mountain, there are close to a hundred big and small sword sects. Amongst them, there are ten sects that are more prestigious. The Central Desolate Qin Empire allows sword cultivators to rule over themselves. In order to maintain the order, we have Sword Masters. Back then, the Opening Heavens Sword Sect had a seat amongst the Main Sword Masters. According to the rules of Swallow Mountain, since you have reestablished the mountain gate, you should regain a seat in the Main Sword Masters group.”

As he spoke till here, Sect Master Gu hit his chest, “Though the Forging Sword Sect is not one of the members, we are close to several main Sword Masters. If you would like, I am willing to help you regain the seat in the Main Sword Masters group.”

Qin Yu put his hands together, “Thank you Sect Master Gu, but this is not urgent for now. For now, the Opening Heavens Sword Sect is focusing on establishing stability.”

Sect Master Gu, who had been feeling confident, suddenly could not do anything but nod silently. He then spoke, “Sect Master Qin, you are right. But my offer still holds. If your sect ever needs anything, I will definitely help.”

Qin Yu replied, “Thank you Sect Master Gu.”

There was silence.

If even a position in the Main Sword Masters group was not able to move Qin Yu, bringing up anything else would be a joke. Sect Master Gu took a deep breath and stood up, “Sect Master Qin, you are probably aware so I will not hold back. The jade slip you have is extremely important to me. As long as you are willing, I am willing to pay any price to exchange for it.”

Rourou was on point!

Qin Yu had a troubled look as he remained silent.

He did not reject outright, so there was a possibility.

Sect Master Gu took the opportunity, “Sect Master Qin, if you need anything, please say. If I can do it, I will.”

Qin Yu chuckled bitterly, “Okay, since you are so sincere, I will accept it. But I have expectations for this. Though I don’t have any use for it now, its value is very high. So if you are unable to accept my price, then the deal is gone.”

Sect Master Gu took a deep breath, “Please speak.”

Qin Yu replied, “I want a sword polishing stone.”

The truth was out!

Two hours later, Qin Yu brought the remaining tea leaves of the Misty Dragon Mother Tree with him as he left Forging Sword Sect happily.

Sect Master Gu did not personally send him off. Instead, Elder Mei Shenglin sent Qin Yu off uneasily. He repeatedly apologised for the poor manners that his Sect Master was showing.

The good thing was that Qin Yu did not seem unhappy and maintained a smile. He was in a good mood.

Mei Shenglin was relieved to see this and wondered what was going on with his Sect Master. If he sent Qin Yu off happily and others were to see this, it would be extremely beneficial for their reputation.

This did not seem like their Sect Master’s style!

After sending Qin Yu off, Mei Shenglin rushed back and was informed that the Sect Master had already gone into isolation. No one was to disturb him before he was done.

Since he was keeping to his promise and visited the Forging Sword Sect, there was no reason for him not to go and visit the Spring Wind Sword Sect. Moreover, Zhang Xiashan had most likely already sent word and it was not good for him to leave them hanging.

Qin Yu suddenly felt that the speed of the Light Flow Sword was extremely fast. It was not good to send messages as it did not give the chance to hesitate and change their minds. Right now, he was dying to take out the Mountains and Rivers Sword and test the effect of the sword polishing stone.

He would have to make a trip!

Soon after he made a move, he received a message from Zhang Xiashan. As he read it, he smiled.

Li Sumu was in isolation and could not meet him.

Cough…Little Zhang was pretty good; he had potential.

Qin Yu returned to his residence.
