Refining the Mountains and Rivers Chapter 1105

Qin Yu soon arrived at Bluetile Courtyard. While he hadn’t received an invitation, the guards were respectful of his arrival.

It was impossible for them not to be respectful. By now, everyone knew he was an honored guest of the young master and the Clan Elder. They couldn’t afford to offend him at all!

“Your Excellency Qin Yu, we apologize, but Sir Cloud Billow was invited to the City Lord Mansion to participate in tonight’s banquet. He hasn’t returned yet.”

Seeing Qin Yu’s complexion, the guard thought for a moment before saying, “If this is an urgent issue, you may directly go to the evening banquet. Before the young master left, he said that no matter when you come, you can instantly see him.”

City Lord Mansion…

Qin Yu frowned before composing himself. He turned and boarded the carriage, “Go to the City Lord Mansion.”

Blue Wave was a nuisance, but since Feature hadn’t killed him then he naturally had his uses.

If so, there was no need to hide. Even if his big brother was the Adversity Peak City Lord, Qin Yu had no need to fear him with his current level of strength.

The old King’s lineage was currently on his side. Before he gave them a response, Cloud Billow  would do everything in her power to protect him.

The carriage sped away. When they arrived at the City Lord Mansion, other demons from Bluetile Courtyard were already waiting outside. They respectfully bowed to Qin Yu before leading him inside through a side door.

Adversity Peak City guarded the ancestral land and the City Lord was one of the holders of the key. He held a pivotal position in the Nightmare Clan.

The construction of the mansion was natural and magnificent. Compared to Bluetile Courtyard, it might be a bit inferior, but it still possessed overwhelming momentum.

The great hall where the banquet was being held was brightly lit. Countless demon women gracefully walked around with immaculate elegance and poise. They were divided into small circles as they quietly conversed with each other. But, there was a strange absent-mindedness about them.

The current City Lord Blue Sea had obtained his current office by using a challenge method of the clan to directly kill off the previous City Lord.

His actions afterwards had been low-key. While he hadn’t been able to take full control of Adversity Peak City yet, he had managed to eliminate the previous City Lord’s subordinates.

The key was that all of this occurred with any disturbances and was resolved without a sound. From this, it could be seen how skilled he was.

Strictly speaking, today’s banquet was the first time that Blue Sea had taken the initiative to declare his existence ever since he became City Lord.

Moreover, this was a time when the old King’s lineage, Ancient King’s lineage, and new faction had gathered together to compete for the throne of the new King. It was natural that this attracted even more attention.

Could it be that Adversity Peak City had made its choice?

It had to be known that Blue Sea held one of the keys to the ancestral land. Although he had just recently risen, his decision would undoubtedly affect the decisions of many people.

In this sort of situation, the invited guests weren’t in the mood to really enjoy the banquet. They were mostly waiting for him to make an appearance.

With great fanfare, he had invited main figures from the three major factions to join together. Could it be that this was all for a meal and a chat? Heh, that was impossible, there was bound to be something exciting happening!

When Qin Yu was brought to the entrance of the banquet hall, the demon who guided him here pointed at Cloud Billow’s position and then respectfully bowed and walked away.

Without hesitation, Qin Yu stepped into the hall. By the time he passed through the entrance, Cloud Billow had already noticed him.

Cloud Billow gave a slight nod and said a few words to the people around her. Their eyes fell on Qin Yu, looking him over a few times before they smiled and left.

Cloud Billow walked over. Her first words were, “Qin Yu, have you made up your mind?”

This left Qin Yu feeling somewhat speechless. Even if you are a woman, aren’t your acting skills too good? This involves her own marriage, yet she is able to act so calmly about it.

Fierce! Definitely fierce!

Qin Yu shook his head and said, “I have an even better plan now. If you agree to it then we can all be happy.”

Cloud Billow furrowed her eyebrows. She looked at him and said, “I can listen to it. But to be honest, I don’t have much faith in your plan.”

The Clan Elder was already anxious. If Qin Yu didn’t agree soon, he might suffer some hardships.

Qin Yu smiled, “Just listen to it first. There’s no loss for you.”

Cloud Billow nodded and walked over to a corner. No matter what Qin Yu wanted to say, it was best that no one heard them.

Otherwise, they really might cause a disturbance.

…

City Lord Mansion, in a room somewhere.

The banquet had already begun, but City Lord Blue Sea had yet to make an appearance. He stood in front of a mirror, ripples wafting across its surface. A trace of divine sense came out from it; it seemed to be talking to him.

The divine sense from the mirror produced no sound, but Blue Sea’s reply echoed in the air. He furrowed his eyebrows together, slowly saying, “I can take advantage of this moment to express my stance. But doing this will have a great impact on him.”

He paused for a moment and continued to say, “I am confident in you and also believe that we will be the last ones laughing. But, there’s a process to this, and in this process he will have to withstand great danger.”

Blue Sea’s eyebrows tightened even further. He took a deep breath and said, “I can agree, but no matter what the result is, you must give him extra compensation for this…for instance, that thing I mentioned before. I hope you can agree.”

The ripples on the mirror’s surface continued to spread outwards. After several breaths of time, Blue Sea respectfully bowed, “Thank you my lord. I will arrange it.”

The ripples gradually faded away. After calming down, all that remained in front of him was an ordinary mirror.

Blue Sea stood up. He took a deep breath. Then, he pushed open the door and walked out.

Outside the courtyard, Blue Wave hurriedly bowed, “Big brother.”

Blue Sea glanced at him and said, “We will continue according to the plan. You will have to take a risk, but there should be no problems if I am there. Moreover, I have requested an extra reward for you. It will be greatly beneficial for your future cultivation.”

Blue Wave said, “I will listen to big brother’s instructions.”

Joy flashed in his eyes.

His big brother absolutely wouldn’t harm him. Since he asked him to do this…even if this other party had an honored status, there shouldn’t be a problem.

As for the reward, Blue Wave knew what it was. Once he obtained it, it would help him break past his current boundary in a short period of time.

Blue Sea waved a hand, “Go and prepare.”

“Yes, big brother.”

Blue Wave turned and left.

Looking at his back, Blue Sea’s eyes were deep and profound. After several breaths of time he gently sighed.

…

In all honesty, Cloud Billow was shocked by Qin Yu’s plan. He really dared to come up with something like this!

Of course, Qin Yu wasn’t able to say that he knew Cloud Billow was a weakness and he had grasped their weakness.

But changing his rhetoric and expressing his stance wasn’t difficult.

As long as the old King’s lineage understood his meaning, it was fine.

Welcoming Cloud Billow’s wide eyes that were full of stunned disbelief, Qin Yu lightly coughed and said, “I know this proposition is absurd, but think about it carefully. It won’t necessarily fail.

“Of course, I will keep my word and I will not covet the throne of the new King. Once I succeed, I will transfer it to you as soon as possible.”

Cloud Billow took a deep breath. She subconsciously glanced around her before quietly roaring, “You are insane! Never mention this again. If the Clan Elder learns you are thinking something like this, no one will be able to save you!”

Nightmare King! This was the Nightmare King, the role that represented supreme authority! Moreover, there was no chance of this plan ever succeeding to begin with.

Drawing back 10,000 steps, even if Qin Yu luckily managed to succeed somehow, would he still give up authority? What a joke, not even a child would believe that.

The old King’s lineage is supposed to do everything in our power to help you ascend the throne, and then we are supposed to wait for you to give it back to us?

That is simply absurd!

Cloud Billow’s response was within Qin Yu’s expectations. It was just a bit more forceful than he anticipated. But since she hadn’t gone crazy with rage, that meant there was room for discussion.

He took a deep breath. Just as he was about to continue speaking, he furrowed his eyebrows and looked to the side.

A woman seemed to have drunk too much and was staggering over…although she had changed her clothes and the corner here was a bit dark, Qin Yu still recognized her with a single glance.

Spring Breeze 13th Madame!

Sure enough, Blue Wave hadn’t died and had already returned.

He never thought that Blue Wave would bring this woman back with him.

Qin Yu frowned and subconsciously took a step back, hiding in the shadows. He might have said he wasn’t afraid before, but he didn’t want to create problems at this time. Convincing Cloud Billow was the key, and there was no time to waste with these people!

But even though Qin Yu didn’t want to provoke trouble, that didn’t mean trouble would avoid him.

The seemingly drunk Spring Breeze 13th Madame suddenly staggered over and fell onto Cloud Billow.
