Chapter 66: Aunt Xu’s Protection

Seeing that Lin Yun did not react, Ning Kun could not help but feel a little nervous.

“Um, Miss Lin, this medicine is really effective. Why don’t you give it a try? It will aid your recovery!”

“CEO Lu saw that you were still injured in the hospital today. He specially found someone…”

“Ah, no, CEO Lu happened to obtain this medicine, so he hopes that you can try it.”

After Ning Kun finished speaking, he couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

Lin Yun almost laughed out loud.

She could tell that Ning Kun had almost said something wrong. Fortunately, he stopped himself in time. Otherwise, he would probably have to face the risk of having his salary deducted again.

Ning Kun patted his chest to catch his breath while glancing at Lu Chen.

Lu Chen stared at Ning Kun expressionlessly, as if he did not notice his performance just now.

However, the more this was the case, the more Ning Kun felt uncertain.

It had to be known that if CEO Lu did not criticize and correct his mistake, he would be in big danger!

Ning Kun swallowed heavily before continuing, “Miss Lin, no matter what, I’ll send this medicine to you tomorrow!”

“Do you think it’s convenient to send it to the Lin family, or…”

Before Ning Kun could finish asking, Lin Yun said again, “I’ll go to school tomorrow to get my things. Let’s meet at the entrance of Li’an University!”

When Ning Kun heard Lin Yun’s answer, he finally heaved a sigh of relief. “Alright, alright! I’ll wait for you at the school gate tomorrow!”

Lin Yun nodded and hung up after agreeing with Ning Kun.

There was a light knock on the door. Lin Yun put away her phone and said softly, “Come in.”

The door opened and Aunt Xu walked in quickly.

She looked Lin Yun up and down worriedly. “Miss, are you alright? I heard that something happened at the hospital today…”

Lin Yun could tell that Aunt Xu was worried and interrupted her nervous question. “Don’t worry, Aunt Xu. I’m fine.”

“It was just a small incident. It’s all settled!”

Aunt Xu still didn’t seem to believe it. She held Lin Yun’s hand and asked her to stand up. She wanted to check it herself.

Lin Yun was a little helpless, but she obediently let Aunt Xu check.

Seeing that there were no new wounds on Lin Yun’s body, Aunt Xu finally heaved a sigh of relief.

At this moment, Lin Yun saw several wounds on Aunt Xu’s hand.

“Aunt Xu, this injury…”

Aunt Xu shook her head and chuckled. “I haven’t done trimming in a long time. I was accidentally cut by a flower clipper.”

Aunt Xu made it sound simple, but Lin Yun didn’t feel that way at all.

Aunt Xu had always been careful. It was impossible for her to be injured to this extent.

Moreover, there were several gardeners in Wang Lan’s father’s house to do the gardening. Since when did Aunt Xu need to do it?

Lin Yun frowned tightly. It was obvious that her heart ached for Aunt Xu.

Aunt Xu patted her hand in relief and said, “As long as Miss is safe and sound, I’ll do anything!”

Lin Yun’s eyes were slightly red. One could see her sadness and heartache.

“Aunt Xu, I won’t let anyone bully you again!” Lin Yun promised firmly.

She still remembered that not long after she left the Lin family in her previous life, Aunt Xu had an accident.

The Lin family said that Aunt Xu fell down accidentally when she was working on the roof.

However, how could a wealthy family like the Lin family let an old servant climb onto the roof to do any work!

Moreover, Aunt Xu had always been a servant who took care of the ladies. After Lin Yun left, she was supposed to serve Lin Yu.

Thinking about it now, Aunt Xu’s accident back then was probably related to Lin Yu!

When Lin Yun thought of this, her eyes couldn’t help but turn even redder.

Aunt Xu looked at Lin Yun and thought that she was about to cry. She quickly grabbed her hand and said, “Miss, don’t worry.I will be more careful in the future! I won’t let you worry again!”

“No one can bully Aunt Xu! I’m very powerful!”

As Aunt Xu spoke, she placed her hands on her hips and revealed a fierce expression.

Lin Yun was instantly amused by Aunt Xu’s appearance.

She remembered that when Lin Yun was young, when she was bullied by children from other families, Aunt Xu would do this from time to time to scare away those children who bullied her.

Although she would occasionally be scolded by the Lin couple, Aunt Xu had never let Lin Yun be bullied under her watch!
