Chapter 49: Lin Yun’s Grievance

Lin Yun listened to Lin Cheng’s accusation silently. This seemed to have been within her expectations.

After Lin Cheng finished his generous speech, all the reporters waited for Lin Yun’s words.

Lin Yun only remained indifferent and speechless, as if she had no intention of arguing for herself.

This was part of her plan. If she hadn’t invited Mr. Bai over, why would Lin Cheng be willing to make this trip with her?

And now, Mr. Bai had already checked if Ling Na was injured.

She didn’t say anything now because Lin Yun had a backup plan!

She only had one goal now. She wanted Lin Cheng to let her go willingly!

She only wanted to leave the Lin family as soon as possible!

Seeing that Lin Yun didn’t react, a few fearless reporters probed, “Miss Lin, about what happened today…”

Lin Yun looked at the reporters apologetically. “Everyone, I’m sorry. My… adoptive father’s words made me feel a little sad…”

“I want to leave first! Sorry!” Lin Yun said. Ignoring the reporters’ obstruction, she covered her face and rushed out.

She was seriously injured and could not move freely.

Lin Cheng looked at Lin Yun’s sorry state. Only after the reporters took a few rounds of photos did he signal his assistant to help Lin Yun out.

With the help of her assistant, Lin Yun successfully passed through the reporters.

Lin Cheng stayed in his original position and waited for the reporter’s next interview.

Sitting in the car, Lin Yun glanced in the direction of the elevator.

Lin Cheng had yet to come over. He was probably talking to the reporters about his “kindness” towards Lin Yun.

Ever since Lin Yu returned home, many people criticized the Lin family for treating Lin Yun badly.

Lin Cheng took this opportunity to “do justice” to the Lin family.

About half an hour later, Lin Cheng appeared at the elevator.

He got into the car and instructed the driver to drive.

They walked in silence.

Only when they returned to the Lin family did Lin Cheng speak.

“Will you blame me for what happened just now?”

Lin Yun paused for a moment before shaking her head at Lin Cheng, a faint smile on her face.

“I understand. I won’t blame you!”

Lin Cheng nodded in satisfaction, then frowned and asked, “What happened with Mr. Bai?”

Lin Yun lowered her head slightly and said softly, “How can Mr. Bai’s actions be controlled by others?”

“I was only able to invite him because the professor is familiar with Mr. Bai.”

“But he insisted on not announcing this matter, so I can’t disobey him.”

“Are you saying that Mr. Bai deliberately covered up for the Ling family?” Lin Cheng raised his eyebrows slightly, looking a little dissatisfied.

Lin Yun shook her head and said, “I’m not sure why.”

“Mr. Bai only said that he had already done this, but he wasn’t willing to interfere with the rest!” Lin Yun looked at Lin Cheng pitifully.

Lin Cheng pondered for a moment before saying coldly, “It seems that Ling Ao has done something again!”

Lin Yun didn’t reply. She just curled up in the corner, looking very pitiful.

Lin Cheng took a deep breath and said, “Let’s go! Let’s leave it at that!”

Lin Yun nodded and opened the car door again.

The two of them walked into the hall and saw Wang Lan and Lin Yu walking over.

“The car has been parked outside for so long. Are you guys chatting?” Wang Lan asked in confusion.

Lin Cheng nodded and took off his coat under the butler’s service.

Lin Yun stood obediently behind Lin Cheng and greeted Wang Lan, “Mom.”

Wang Lan glanced at Lin Yun before asking Lin Cheng, “How did the matter go? Will the company be fine?”

Speaking of this, Lin Cheng frowned again.

Lin Cheng, who was originally a little dissatisfied with Ling Ao, had been suppressed by Ling Ao in the business world many times over the years.

Although the two families were in a cooperative relationship, the Ling family always took advantage of them. Lin Cheng had accumulated hatred for a long time.

The reason why it erupted today was firstly because Lin Cheng thought that Mr. Bai would definitely be able to help, and secondly, he just wanted to take this opportunity to resolve the conflict with the Ling family over the years.

Now that the two families had already broken ties, Lin Cheng had to be careful when he met Ling Ao in the business world in the future!

Thinking of this, Lin Cheng frowned even more and became impatient. “Since when are you in charge of the company’s matters?”

Lin Cheng’s words immediately made Wang Lan lose her temper.
