Chapter 45: Lin Yun’s Proposal

Lin Cheng only hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Since the Ling family is heartless, they can’t blame me for doing the same!”

A faint smile appeared on Lin Yun’s face. “The Ling family was in the wrong first. We were just protecting ourselves.”

Lin Cheng nodded. “Tell me what you think.”

“Since Ling Ao came to question us, why don’t we beat him at his own game?” Lin Yun said with a cold smile.

“We’ll go to the hospital to visit the injured Miss Ling…”

Before Lin Yun could finish, Lin Cheng had already frowned. “Wouldn’t this make people think that we’re in the wrong?”

Lin Yun shook her head. “Of course we can’t go for nothing. We have to call all the reporters and media in the city to care about Miss Ling’s injuries.”

Lin Cheng didn’t seem to understand the meaning behind Lin Yun’s words. He was still frowning in thought.

Lin Yun didn’t let Lin Cheng think for too long before continuing, “We know if Ling Na is injured.”

“She’s just finding an excuse to hide in the hospital to avoid being affected by the commotion online.”

“She’s staying in her own hospital. It’s natural that she can fabricate her condition at will.”

When Lin Cheng heard this, his brows furrowed even more tightly.

That’s right. Ling Na was in her own hospital now. Even if she wasn’t injured, she could still fabricate the test report.

If that was the case, wouldn’t Lin Cheng be digging a hole for himself if the reporters went to interview him?

He looked up at Lin Yun and saw that she was still confident.

Lin Yun didn’t look at Lin Cheng’s expression and only handed over a set of materials. “If we bring this gentleman along, the truth will naturally be revealed.”

Lin Cheng still looked suspiciously at the materials in Lin Yun’s hand, but he subconsciously reached out to take them.

Opening the materials, Lin Cheng was even more stunned.

Then, he shook his head without hesitation. “That’s impossible!”

Lin Yun smiled and asked softly, “Dad, do you think there’s a problem?”

“Not to mention that he’s not in the country now, even if he is, it’s impossible for us to invite him!” Lin Cheng said with self-awareness.

Lin Yun smiled and said, “He has already agreed to come with us!”

Lin Cheng looked at Lin Yun in shock. “Are… are you serious?”

The smile on Lin Yun’s face looked very sincere. “When have I ever lied to Dad?”

Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Lin Cheng finally felt relieved.

‘Yeah!’

Lin Yun had been obedient and sensible since she was young. She had never disobeyed her parents’ wishes, let alone told any lies!

In that case, Lin Yun’s plan could really expose the Ling family’s scheme in front of everyone!

Thinking of this, Lin Cheng stood up from his chair.

“Then what are we waiting for! Don’t make Mr. Bai wait too long!”

After saying that, Lin Cheng quickly walked towards the study door.

A smile appeared on Lin Yun’s face as she followed Lin Cheng to the Lin residence.

…

Wang Lan had long heard that Lin Cheng had called Lin Yun to the study room angrily.

The two of them chatted in the study for about half an hour.

Wang Lan heard from the butler that it seemed to be related to Ling Na’s incident yesterday and even affected the company’s business.

Lin Cheng must have called Lin Yun into the study to teach her a lesson.

Unexpectedly, when Lin Cheng and Lin Yun walked out of the study, they were both smiling.Lin Cheng even had some anticipation on his face.Wang Lan looked at the situation and couldn’t help but frown.

She walked forward and stopped Lin Cheng. “Where are you and your daughter going so early in the morning?”

Lin Cheng turned around and glanced at Lin Yun before saying, “I’m going to the hospital to visit Ling Na.”

“Visit Ling Na?” Wang Lan exclaimed in surprise. “The hospital must be filled with reporters now.”

“If we go now, wouldn’t it be…” Wang Lan looked at Lin Cheng worriedly.

Lin Cheng shook his head and said, “You don’t know anything. Don’t get involved in these things!”

“Alright! I don’t have time to talk to you anymore! Don’t delay our business!”

After Lin Cheng finished speaking, he didn’t even look at Wang Lan and hurriedly walked out.

Lin Yun nodded at Wang Lan and said, “Mom, I’ll go out first.” Without waiting for Wang Lan’s response, Lin Yun left with Lin Cheng.

Wang Lan watched them leave and gritted her teeth.

Lin Yu walked out of the room and heard the conversation.

She did not expect Lin Cheng to value Lin Yun so much. He actually wanted to bring Lin Yun to the hospital at this critical moment!

The commotion yesterday did not make Lin Yun lose her value in Lin Cheng’s eyes!

Lin Yu bit her lower lip and clenched her fists. Her long nails had already dug into her flesh.
