When they returned to the Lin family home, Aunt Xu pushed Lin Yun and bumped into Lin Yu, who was about to leave.

“Ah! Sister, you’re back! Why didn’t you inform me when you were discharged so that Dad and Mom could send a car to pick you up!”

Lin Yu looked as if she had no idea about the last time she used the car.

Aunt Xu suppressed her dissatisfaction and greeted Lin Yu, “Good morning, Miss Xiao Yu!”

Hearing Aunt Xu’s greeting, Lin Yu’s expression turned ugly.

Miss Xiao Yu?

She was the legitimate daughter of the Lin family, the eldest daughter of the Lin family!

Aunt Xu actually greeted her so perfunctorily!

Sooner or later, she would make Aunt Xu pack up and leave!

Lin Yu was secretly angry, but she did not notice that Lin Yun’s gaze had swept past her lightly.

Lin Yun ignored Lin Yu and said to Aunt Xu, “Aunt Xu, I’m tired. Push me in!”

Aunt Xu nodded and said to Lin Yu, “Miss Xiao Yu, please make way!”

Lin Yu frowned, clearly not wanting to give way.

Lin Yun looked up at Lin Yu and said in a gentle and sincere tone, “Xiao Yu, I just came back from the hospital. I need to rest!”

“Sister, look, I’m just concerned about you!” From the corner of her eye, Lin Yu saw a figure slowly walking over from behind Lin Yun.

Her expression changed instantly as she approached Lin Yun. “My heart aches for you for staying in the hospital for so long!”

“You can’t misunderstand my good intentions!”

Lin Yun looked at Lin Yu’s awkward acting and smirked. “I didn’t misunderstand anything!”

“Aren’t you going out? Don’t be late!”

“Aunt Xu! Let’s go in!” Lin Yun said as she raised her head slightly to look at Aunt Xu.

Aunt Xu immediately pushed the wheelchair inside.

“Ouch!” Lin Yu suddenly cried out in pain. In the next moment, she fell beside Lin Yun’s wheelchair.

Aunt Xu jumped in fright and hurriedly took two steps forward to take a look.

At this moment, the figure not far away rushed over. “What’s wrong?”

Lin Yu rubbed her knees and looked at Lin Cheng with some grievance. “Dad, it’s okay. I accidentally fell!”

“Accidentally?” Lin Cheng raised his eyebrows slightly and turned to look at Aunt Xu. “Did you hit Xiao Yu with the wheelchair?”

Aunt Xu hurriedly waved her hands and explained, “I was just pushing Miss inside. I didn’t expect to bump into Miss Xiao Yu.”

Wang Lan walked out when she heard the commotion.

Seeing that Lin Yu was still sitting on the ground, she hurriedly ran over. “What happened?”

A smug smile flashed across Lin Yu’s face when she saw Wang Lan.

She lowered her head slightly and hid her expression. She put on a wronged look and looked at Wang Lan. “Mom, it’s nothing. It’s just a small injury.”

“A small injury?” Wang Lan’s expression turned even uglier.

“Xiao Xia, where did you go? Hurry up and help Big Miss up!” Wang Lan’s tone was high and she sounded very angry.

Xiao Xia ran over from the direction of the living room with cleaning tools in her hands. “Madam, you called me?”

“You wretched girl! Can’t you see that Missy fell to the ground?” Wang Lan scolded fiercely.

Although Xiao Xia felt wronged, she still put down the tools in her hand and ran to Lin Yu’s side to help her up.

Lin Cheng stood not far away and watched quietly. After a while, he said, “Xiao Xia, help Miss Xiao Yu back to rest.”

“Aunt Xu, send Missy back to her room.”

After Lin Cheng finished speaking, he walked towards the study room without waiting for everyone to react.

Wang Lan was examining Lin Yu’s injuries and didn’t notice the change in her expression.

She stared at Lin Cheng’s back, her teeth tightly clenched together.

Lin Yun didn’t want to be bothered by this meaningless drama, so she instructed Aunt Xu to push her back to her room.

Wang Lan and Xiao Xia helped Lin Yu back to her room and placed her on the bed. Xiao Xia rushed to get the first aid kit.

Wang Lan looked at Lin Yu worriedly, afraid that something would happen to her leg.

“Xiao Yu, are you alright? You don’t look well. Why don’t we go to the hospital?”

Lin Yu shook her head as tears welled up in her eyes.

“What happened to you?” Wang Lan’s heart ached when she saw this.

“Mom, does Dad… not want to acknowledge me?” Lin Yu asked in a choked voice.

“Why would you say that?” Wang Lan quickly pulled Lin Yu into her arms when she saw how aggrieved she was.

“It’s been so many days, but Dad hasn’t had a good chat with me,” Lin Yu said dejectedly.

“Your dad is too busy!” Wang Lan tried to persuade him.

“But… but he just said that Lin Yun is the Lin family’s eldest daughter!” As Lin Yu spoke, tears flowed down her face.
