Chapter 136: Make it Clear

Luxury Court Hotel was not a first-class hotel in Sea City. With Lu Teng’s status, he should not be bothered to stay in such a hotel.

However, Lu Teng had quietly checked into the hotel and it was said that he had been staying there for a while. Lin Yun was very curious about Lu Teng’s purpose in coming to Sea City.

The last time she hacked into Lu Teng’s computer system, she realized that this guy was secretly playing tricks.

He probably had a motive for appearing in Sea City this time!

Could it be that he was here for Lu Chen?

Lin Yun tried to check the surveillance video for the past few days. Other than Lu Teng, no one else entered his room.

Lin Yun frowned.

If no one had entered Lu Teng’s room, how could Lu Teng be sure that Shao Yi had stolen his things?

Then why did the police capture Shao Yi?

The more Lin Yun thought about it, the more suspicious she felt. She flipped through the records for a few days.

The surveillance footage of Grand Court Hotel had a one-month duration, but strangely, the video of Lu Teng’s stay on that day had disappeared. Lin Yun checked the records of the surrounding public surveillance cameras but there was no record of Lu Teng’s arrival at the Grand Court Hotel.

This matter seemed a little strange…

Lin Yun suddenly remembered that not long after she arrived at Lu Chen’s side in her previous life, she encountered Lu Teng trying to poach the Lu family assets. It ended with Lu Teng being chased out by Lu Chen.

There were still a few months before that happened.

If the situation was really the same as in his previous life, Lu Teng’s appearance here at this time was probably because he planned to do something to Lu Chen behind his back.

Lin Yun was suddenly worried about Lu Chen.

She hesitated for a moment before calling Ning Kun.

Ning Kun was preparing for an international meeting in the morning.

He thought that he would definitely not be able to sleep tonight so he planned to drink a few cups of coffee to keep himself awake.

Ning Kun’s phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and took a look. Immediately, he became energetic.

He shook the phone from side to side like a hot potato, but he didn’t know what to do.

Just as the ringtone was about to end, Ning Kun reacted and quickly pressed the answer button.

“Hello, Miss Lin!” Ning Kun looked around, afraid that Lu Chen would hear him secretly answering Lin Yun’s call.

Lin Yun frowned slightly and said, “Assistant Ning, is CEO Lu in Sea City recently?”

Ning Kun hurriedly replied, “CEO Lu just returned to Sea City recently.”

“Does he have plans to go out?” Lin Yun asked again.

“Well…” Ning Kun immediately hesitated.

Lin Yun hurriedly said, “It’s like this. I have a friend… She’s proficient in Dao techniques. She said that one of my recent friends might encounter danger when he goes out.”

“It’s just that she’s not good enough to foretell which friend it is!”

“So I had to ask everyone I knew recently.”

“If we disturb CEO Lu…”

Ning Kun quickly interrupted Lin Yun. “No, no!”

“Miss Lin’s friend probably has some true ability!” Ning Kun continued, “CEO Lu does have plans to go out these few days.”

“How about this? If Miss Lin needs any instructions, why don’t I arrange a time for you to talk to CEO Lu in person?”

Hearing Ning Kun’s words, Lin Yun instantly hesitated.

She had made this call because she was nervous.

She remembered that in her previous life, Lu Chen was probably kidnapped at this time and even got injured.

Although the kidnappers were finally caught, Lu Chen had been kidnapped for nearly three days. It was said that he had suffered a lot.

Lin Yun didn’t want this to happen again.

Seeing that Lin Yun didn’t answer, Ning Kun hurriedly said, “Miss Lin, I’m not good with words. I’m afraid I won’t be able to learn. It’s better if you personally instruct CEO Lu.”

Hearing Ning Kun’s words, Lin Yun couldn’t help but laugh.

If Ning Kun was stupid, there were probably not many people in this world who were eloquent.

Although Ning Kun was respectful and cautious towards Lu Chen, he was definitely not a stupid person. Furthermore, with Ning Kun’s potential, he could become the general manager of any company.

However, Ning Kun had a special relationship with Lu Chen, so he would always be by Lu Chen’s side.

Lin Yun nodded secretly and said, “Alright! Assistant Ning, please help me arrange a time. I’ll personally explain this to CEO Lu.”

Ning Kun heaved a sigh of relief. “Alright! I’ll report to CEO Lu immediately!”

Ning Kun hung up excitedly. When he turned around, he was almost scared out of his wits!

“CEO, CEO Lu…”
