Rebirth: Pampered Wife’s Counterattack Chapter 635 – Meeting An Elder

Chapter 635: Meeting An Elder

Throughout his lifetime, he had fulfilled all the promises he made and would not go back on his word easily.

Bai Qinghao knew very well that his Grandfather preferred to keep his word and deliberated over how to solve this matter well.

This opportunity would affect her chances of inheriting the Long Group. Hence, Bai Jingrou refused to back off easily. “Cousin, I saw on the news that your company has designed a new collection of clothing and is about to begin its production. Between Miss Fang and I… how about we both spend three hours to design a product. For the sake of fairness, we will both do it in an empty room with surveillance cameras. Afterwards, we will hand our work over anonymously and allow the company leaders to vote. Whoever’s design wins will take the position of the Chief Designer.”

“That’s very fair.” Bai Chongshan nodded. “Qinghao, what do you think?”

“I agree,” Fang Xinxin responded first.

She understood very well that Bai Qinghao did not wish for his grandfather to go back on his word.

A hint of victory flashed past Bai Jingrou’s eyes. Fang Xinxin was still a university undergraduate. How was she supposed to compete with someone who had more than two years of working experience?

Huang Zhishu was very confident in her daughter’s design skills as well.

Fang Xinxin was doomed to lose. When that happened, she would not only lose the position of the Sheng Shi Group’s Chief Designer but would also lose face as Madam Bai!

Bai Qinghao nodded in acknowledgement.

Although he was uncertain about Xinxin’s chances, her promises were the same as his.

Bai Qinghao accompanied Xinxin for a little while longer. As there was a lot of work to manage at the company, he quickly left for work.

He planned to finish all the urgent business in his hands right now and to look through the projects that were awaiting approval. This way, after their wedding, he could spare some time to have a honeymoon with Xinxin.

Elder Bai was in his seventies. After practicing calligraphy for a while, he grew tired and returned to his room.

Huang Zhishu and her children also left.

Fang Xinxin was strolling through the yard on her own when she noticed an elderly man dressed in a Zhong Shan attire with a head of gray hair. He sat on a stone stool around the corner and held a walking stick in his hand.

He was the Long Group’s old director, Long Jingyuan.

As she sized him up, Long Jingyuan also turned to look at her. He was immediately taken aback by her stunning beauty. But he nodded at her politely.

For some reason, Long Jingyuan found this young lady to be rather familiar.

“Director Long, what are you doing here?” Fang Xinxin greeted him with a smile.

“Do you know me?” Long Jingyuan’s grayed brows shifted slightly.

“I’ve seen your photos on the news.” Fang Xinxin responded honestly. “You appear more friendly than you do in pictures.”

“That’s interesting.” Long Jingyuan’s face crinkled with his smile. “Everyone says that I appear stern. You’re the first to say that I look friendly.”

“For some reason, I find you especially friendly and approachable.” Fang Xinxin smiled lightly. “You may think that I’m saying this to flatter you, but I genuinely feel that way.”

“I recognise you as well. You must be Fang Xinxin.” Long Jingyuan responded with a smile. “A year ago, your face was frequently seen across the media.”

“It must have drawn your laughter.” She responded helplessly. “The Fang family has too much poor news circulating outside.”

She took in the elderly in front of her and recalled that he would soon pass her way…

For some reason, she felt deeply upset about this.

She did not wish for him to die.
