Rebirth: Pampered Wife’s Counterattack Chapter 312 – Meal Cooked By Brother

Chapter 312: Meal Cooked By Brother

However, his expression had always been cold and stern. Thus, she always feared him.

It was only with time that she started getting swayed towards him.

But as time passed, he gradually took less care of her.

The people around her also sowed discord, causing her to misunderstand that he had abandoned her.

In truth, at the time, Bai Qinghao was not only busy. His body was also falling ill.

On days when he did not appear, he was hospitalised.

At the thought of this, Fang Xinxin’s heart softened. She wanted to take the initiative to contact Bai Qinghao.

She took a glance at her phone and saw that there still weren’t any messages from him. Hence, she decided to wait.

Since he had hung up on her call, he had to lower his head first!

When Fang Shaohua saw her, his dark expression immediately lit up. He joyfully welcomed her. “Xinxin…”

She responded quickly. “Brother, you’re here too. If you’re busy, you don’t have to come often.”

She knew that her brother was busy investing in stocks. He had even registered an investment company. As his crimes had yet to be cleared, he did so with her identity card. “Your business has only just begun. You need to invest more time into your work.”

“It’s fine. I can still make time to do this.” Fang Shaohua smiled at her gently. “Have you had dinner?”

“Not yet.”

“Do you want to eat together?”

“En.”

He had planned on visiting a nearby restaurant for a low-profile meal. After all, he was released from jail for medical reasons. It wasn’t suitable for him to expose his face to the public.

If he was discovered to be healthy, there would be a lot of trouble.

Fang Shaohua never expected it to be so difficult treating the girl he loved to a meal.

She smiled and asked him. “Why don’t we return to Hong Sheng District for a meal? It’s been a long time since I had food cooked by my brother.”

She then put on a greedy expression. “Brother’s cooking skills are especially good. Even chefs from five star hotels aren’t as good as you.”

She was not exaggerating by saying this.

Before her elder brother was jailed, at some point, he had honed his cooking skills perfectly.

In fact, Fang Shaohua had intentionally hired famous chefs to help him do so.

Bai Qinghao was far too outstanding. His family background was also powerful.

Since he could not defeat the other party’s power, he decided to develop his own individual charm. Originally, he had planned on taking Fang Xinxin’s stomach captive.

But to their surprise, he only managed to prepare a few meals for her before he met with his trouble.

He lifted his wrist and checked the time.

It was 6.30p.m. in the evening. If they returned now, the food would be ready not before 8p.m. at the earliest.

Visiting a nearby restaurant would definitely be faster.

He understood that she was being considerate towards him by making this request. He was moved by her thoughts and nodded in agreement.

They requested the hospital staff to take care of Long Yifan before taking a cab back to Hong Sheng district. They entered an apartment in Block A, on the twentieth storey.

Fang Xinxin took in the modern renovation done in the apartment. It wasn’t different from the last time she visited.

She had bought this apartment for him with his money.

However, she had lied that she had rented this place.

Since her elder brother did not say anything, it meant that he had yet to find that apartment deed she had hidden in this place.

Fang Shaohua opened the refrigerator. “Auntie Gao Ru has stocked up the refrigerator with a lot of food. She’s been preparing all my meals as I haven’t been cooking lately. I sent her away today since I planned to visit the hospital.”

Auntie Gao Ru was a helper that she had arranged for him. She asked him in concern. “Is her food all right? If you’re not satisfied, we can hire someone else.”
