Rebirth of the Best Businesswoman at School Chapter 428 – Believe in Love at First Sight

Chapter 428: Believe in Love at First Sight

Ji Haoxue looked at Jian Yu with a direct and passionate gaze. It was the kind where she was looking at the person she liked.

He was so good-looking.

Not only was he good-looking, but he was also very righteous.

Plus points!

In the idol dramas on television, Ji Haoxue even scoffed at scenes of love at first sight. But now, she believed that love at first sight existed in this world.

It made her heart race immediately, and she had the impulse to marry him.

After living abroad for three years, Ji Haoxue was more mature and open-minded than her peers.

She did not care about being reserved. She just liked this big brother.

Ji Haoxue’s gaze was too passionate, and Jian Yu felt a little uncomfortable being stared at. He immediately remembered that he was here for serious business today.

He stood up and walked to the counter. Jian Yu said to the staff, “Hello, I want to order a birthday cake. I’ll come and get it in the afternoon the day after tomorrow.”

“Alright!” The staff quickly agreed. “Look at the style in the display cabinet. Which one do you want to order?”

“I want to order one too. I’ll come and get it in the afternoon the day after tomorrow as well.” Ji Haoxue also appeared and looked at the staff.

Jian Yu couldn’t help but look up at her. Seeing this, Ji Haoxue chuckled. “It’s my brother’s birthday the day after tomorrow.”

Jian Yu nodded slightly and thought to himself, ‘What a coincidence. This girl’s brother is on the same birthday as Xiao Ai.’

“Is it your birthday?” Ji Haoxue wanted to talk to Jian Yu more, so she took the opportunity to ask.

Jian Yu shook his head. Thinking of his sister, his expression softened. He said softly, “My sister.”

“You have siblings too?” Ji Haoxue smiled and said, “I have a brother too.”

As she spoke, Ji Haoxue couldn’t help but look at the display cabinet and point at a dark chocolate cake. “You should order chocolate. Girls like to eat chocolate. I like it very much.”

Jian Yu looked at it and said, “She doesn’t like to eat something too sweet.”

Then, his gaze landed on a green cake. He asked the staff, “What flavor is this?”

Seeing this, the staff said, “This is green apple flavor. It’s slightly sour amidst the sweetness. It’s not sickening and sells well.”

Jian Yu nodded. “I’ll take this then. I want a twelve-inch one. Thank you!”

“I want this too!” Ji Haoxue quickly said, “Twelve-inch as well.”

Jian Yu couldn’t help but look at her again. Did she do it on purpose?

Didn’t she like chocolate?

Ji Haoxue seemed to have seen the words in Jian Yu’s eyes. She was not shy and said generously, “My brother doesn’t like to eat too sweet either.”

It was true!

“Write the words you want to see on the cake. Come and get it after three in the afternoon the day after tomorrow.”

The staff handed each of them a piece of paper and a pen.

Jian Yu only wrote one simple sentence: Happy fifteenth birthday to Xiao Ai.

Ji Haoxue wrote: Happy birthday to the most handsome brother in the universe.

As soon as the bill was settled, the police arrived.

After a simple understanding of the situation, the police handcuffed the two thieves and put them in the car. As the victim, Ji Haoxue needed to go to the police station as well. Jian Yu acted bravely to help catch the thief, so he was also one of the involved parties. He also needed to go to the police station to record a statement.

Fortunately, the police station was only two blocks from Champs-Élysées. Jian Yu was willing to cooperate with the police, so he rode his motorcycle to the police station.
