Rebirth of the Best Businesswoman at School Chapter 282 – Taking the Initiative to Ask for Peace

Chapter 282: Taking the Initiative to Ask for Peace

Haicheng District’s Li Du Garden, the Li family.

Liu Chunxia made a table full of dishes. When the last dish of soup was served, she couldn’t help but look up at the time.

“Husband, the dishes are ready. Give Changsheng a call and ask when their family will be here,” Liu Chunxia shouted into the living room.

Li Qiang was reading the newspaper in the living room. Hearing this, he reached out for his phone. Just as he was about to call Jian Changsheng, the doorbell rang.

He quickly got up and opened the door. Jian Changsheng and Qiao Shuyi had brought Jian Yiyi along.

Li Qiang had a smile on his face as he hurriedly called for them to enter the house. “Xiao Xia just finished cooking. Come in quickly.”

Jian Changsheng carried many things with him. As soon as he entered the house, he placed them on the cabinet. “I brought them back from Macau.”

Li Qiang didn’t stand on ceremony and urged them to eat in the dining room.

Jian Changsheng and Li Qiang were childhood friends. Although there was a certain difference in their financial strength, it didn’t affect their frequent interactions.

Everyone traveled during the First of May holidays. Hence, they made an appointment for a gathering on the last day to have dinner together.

“Where’s Xiao Mei?” Qiao Shuyi casually asked as she helped set the table.

Liu Chunxia answered casually, “She’s upstairs.”

Then, she called for Jian Yiyi, “Yiyi, Xiao Mei is in the room. Go call her down for the meal.”

Because of Li Qiang’s and Jian Changsheng’s relationship, both their daughters grew up together. In the eyes of the adults, the children’s relationship with each other was good too.

However, Li Yunmei and Jian Yiyi did not tell their parents about what had happened in school.

Jian Yiyi’s expression was the same as usual. She readily agreed and went straight upstairs.

The door to Li Yunmei’s room was tightly shut and no sound came from inside. Jian Yiyi knocked on the door and called out, “Xiao Mei?”

Inside the room, Li Yunmei was sitting on the bed with a huge frog plushie in her arms. When she heard the knocking and Jian Yiyi’s voice, she looked indifferent.

She was still angry at Jian Yiyi because of what had happened.

Jian Yiyi stood outside the door and knocked again. “If you don’t say anything, I’ll come in!”

As soon as she finished speaking, the door was pushed open and Jian Yiyi stuck her head in.

Li Yunmei was sitting on the bed. She ignored Jian Yiyi and didn’t look at her.

Because of Lin Yi, all their classmates gossiped about Jian Yiyi even until the holidays started and because of this, Jian Yiyi no longer had many friends around her. Although Xi Jie and Li Linlin were still with her, they were not as devoted as before.

Hence, Jian Yiyi knew that she had to reconcile with Li Yunmei.

In the account that both grew up together, as long as she found an opportunity to lower herself and apologize, she believed that Li Yunmei would forget about the past and reconcile with her.

At that moment, this was an opportunity.

Jian Yiyi turned around and closed the door. She slowly walked to Li Yunmei’s bed and sat down. She blinked at her and said softly, “Are you still angry at me?”

Li Yunmei immediately turned around and looked like she was uncomfortable. However, she did not chase Jian Yiyi out.

“Alright, Xiao Mei. I apologize. It was my fault before. I didn’t know what was going on, so I said those words to you. I made everyone laugh at you. It’s all my fault!” Jian Yiyi took the initiative to take responsibility for all the mistakes. However, she was thinking that since no one else was here and there were only the two of them, the most important thing was for Xiao Mei to forgive her.
