Rebirth of the Best Businesswoman at School Chapter 184 – Manager Wang Resigned

Chapter 184: Manager Wang Resigned

Wang Yunmei couldn’t help but look apologetic when she heard that. “It wasn’t my intention to resign. Unfortunately, something happened to my body. The huge Yaochi can’t be left unattended. However, according to the procedures, I have to personally submit my resignation letter to you for approval. I didn’t expect you to be worried, Old Ji, that you even came to the hospital to see me.”

“It’s my duty!” Old Ji gently waved his hand. He looked at Wang Yunmei with a kind expression and said, “That day, your daughter saved my life but didn’t accept my thanks. I’ve always wanted to find an opportunity to thank your family.”

“Old Ji, you’re too kind. It happened so suddenly that day. Even if it were anyone else, Xiao Ai would have helped them,” Wang Yunmei quickly said.

“That may be so, but who asked that person to be me?” Old Ji teased before continuing, “Since the doctor said that you can recover, I won’t approve your resignation. I’ll keep Yaochi’s position for you!”

Wang Yunmei was shocked when she heard this, and she revealed an anxious expression. “How can I do that…”

Before she could finish, Old Ji interrupted her, “It’s fine. Focus on the surgery and recuperate. I’ll send someone to take over Yaochi’s management for the time being. You can go back to work after you’ve recovered and been discharged.”

Although Old Ji’s tone was indifferent, his words didn’t allow for anyone to easily refute him. Wang Yunmei felt that it was inappropriate, but she didn’t dare to refuse immediately.

At this moment, his accompanying assistant leaned in to whisper a few words in his ear. Old Ji nodded and stood up. “I still have something on, so I’ll take my leave first. Stay in the hospital steadily. Don’t think too much about anything else. I’ll come and see you again when I have time in the future.”

His tone was casual, as if Wang Yunmei was his family friend.

As the CEO of Ji Group, Old Ji had many things to do every day. Wang Yunmei was already very touched that he could take time out to visit her in the hospital. Now that he had even kept her position with an annual salary of three hundred thousand yuan, Wang Yunmei sat on the bed for a long time and could not calm down. She did not know if she was excited or grateful, but she had mixed feelings.

When Jian Ai reached the hospital, she saw the supplements on the table.

Ginseng, cordyceps, and all the other expensive items. She could not help but show a puzzled expression.

Seeing this, Jian Yu told Jian Ai about Old Ji’s visit.

Old Ji?

Jian Ai was also a little surprised. The dignified CEO of Ji Group was usually very busy, yet he especially came to visit her mother, a mere general manager of Yaochi.

However, it was reasonable if it was because she had saved him that day.

Just that he didn’t approve her mother’s resignation? What was going on?

“Let’s not think about anything else for now. Mom’s undergoing surgery tomorrow. We’ll talk about it after it,” Jian Yu said.

Jian Ai nodded and walked to the bed. She sat down and smiled at Wang Yunmei. “Brother and I will accompany you tomorrow. Mom, don’t worry.”

The siblings said the same thing. Wang Yunmei smiled helplessly. “With you guys accompanying me, Mom won’t be nervous.”

…

At night, at Yaochi.

The door of the innermost room on the third floor was open. Jian Changsheng smiled and exited the room while talking to the person inside.

After the door closed, the expression on his handsome face faded. He immediately grabbed a waiter and asked, “Is your Manager Wang around?”

The waiter was stunned. “Manager Wang?”

“Oh!” The waiter was enlightened. He looked at Jian Changsheng and said, “Sir, you’re talking about Sister Mei, right?”

Jian Changsheng nodded. He had come to Yaochi twice this week to see Wang Yunmei. He even ordered two Grand Slams just to see her, but she didn’t appear.

The waiter smiled and said, “Manager Wang already resigned!”
