In the afternoon, Wang Yunmei, Wang Yunzhi, and Jiang Chunfen were doing beauty treatments in Shuiyun Club when they received a call from Wang Yunzhong.

Of course, the matter was to inform Wang Yunmei about the change in the wedding date. Moreover, from Wang Yunzhong’s tone, he didn’t seem to be angry at Wang Yunmei for abandoning his wedding. Instead, he comforted Wang Yunmei.

Wang Yunmei didn’t care. She dared to do this back then because she didn’t expect Wang Yunzhong to invite her again.

“Brother, I won’t forget your gift, but I won’t be going to the wedding.” Wang Yunmei lay on the beauty treatment bed and held the phone. She said seriously, “I’m not looking for trouble for no reason. It’s your wedding day. You don’t want to see Mom and me standing there coldly, right? It won’t be good if we argue and disrupt your big day, right?”

“Don’t, Xiao Mei!” When Wang Yunzhong heard that Wang Yunmei didn’t want to come, he quickly said, “Since Brother is getting married, how can you not come? Don’t worry, I’ve already rebuked Mom. She admitted her mistake and was very sincere. She also promised not to say anything she shouldn’t say in front of you in the future.”

“We only have four siblings in our family. How can I count on someone like Yunfa? You also know that I’m a person who cares about my face. It’s not that I want you and Zhi to support Brother, but when the time comes and Zhi is the only one around, will you feel good?”

“Listen to me. Don’t stoop to our mother’s level. Besides, she knows her mistake now. Don’t worry, Xiao Mei. Nothing unpleasant will happen again. I promise you!”

Wang Yunzhong said a lot of things in a hurry. It was obvious that he was afraid that Wang Yunmei wouldn’t go.

When Wang Yunmei heard Wang Yunzhong’s words, she felt conflicted. She thought that since her brother had already said this, what else could she say?

In the end, Wang Yunmei sighed softly. “Alright, I’ll go then. When is the date?”

“The twenty-eighth. I’ll send you the invitation later.” Wang Yunzhong’s tone was delighted as he quickly answered.

Wang Yunmei didn’t ask about anything else. Anyway, she didn’t care about the wedding. When the day came, she would bring the betrothal gift and a mouth. She just needed to eat and drink well.

Just as he was about to hang up, Wang Yunzhong quickly said, “Xiao Mei, Xiao Mei, Brother still has something else…”

Wang Yunmei paused and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“On Chunfen’s side… I…” Wang Yunzhong stammered and couldn’t say anything. He looked embarrassed.

Wang Yunmei couldn’t help but look at Jiang Chunfen, who was lying on the beauty treatment bed beside her. She slowly said, “Alright, I’ll pass on the news of the change in wedding date to her. You don’t have to worry.”

“No, no. That’s not what Brother meant…” Wang Yunzhong panicked and quickly said, “I was so hot-headed when I sent her the invitation before. I initially didn’t want her to attend the wedding. Later, I realized that I didn’t consider this matter well and seemed a little wicked.”

If word got out that he invited his ex-wife to his second marriage, it would be a joke. Wang Yunzhong regretted it.

When Wang Yunmei heard his words, she couldn’t help but chuckle. “Brother, you still know that you did something wrong? What do you want now?”

Wang Yunzhong said embarrassedly, “I mean, aren’t you close to her now? Help me tell her that we have rescheduled the wedding, so she doesn’t have to attend. Then, help me apologize to her. Brother really can’t open his mouth.”
