Chapter 1036: What a Sin

Wang Yunzhong was distraught. In his eyes, he didn’t care how the wedding went or how much money they spent. He only cared about getting closer to Wang Yunmei.

Initially, everything seemed to go smoothly. Xiao Mei was busy with his matters and looked especially concerned. She probably had him in her heart.

Unexpectedly, the old lady only wanted to be straightforward with her words and offended her. She did not know what to do about the wedding. Wasn’t this a complete failure?

Not in the mood to care about the old lady, Wang Yunzhong turned around and wanted to go upstairs, but the old lady pulled him back. Wang Yunzhong looked at the old lady impatiently, while she asked anxiously, “Yunzhong, Xiao Mei won’t ignore you, right…”

In the end, she was still afraid. After all, this was her son’s wedding. Her future daughter-in-law was pregnant with the grandson of the Wang family. There was no room for mistakes.

However, facing the old lady’s lingering fear, Wang Yunzhong snorted. “Now you know how to be nervous? What have you been thinking about? Coincidentally, I didn’t want to get married either. If I don’t marry, I won’t have to worry.”

With that, Wang Yunzhong flung his hand and quickly went upstairs.

The old lady stomped her feet anxiously. “Oh, how can they not get married? We’ve already given Qianqian the betrothal money. She’s still pregnant. Why won’t they get married?!”

“Alright, stop kicking up a fuss!” The old man couldn’t help but shout. He glared at the old lady and said in a low voice, “Didn’t Zhi say she would go back and persuade Xiao Mei? Wait for the news!”

The old lady was anxious. She couldn’t help but cry as she asked, “What if Xiao Mei doesn’t care anymore? It’s almost time!”

“Then you make arrangements. What else can you do? Is there any use in crying and howling here?” The old man did not spoil the old lady. This matter had come to this because of her. He could not help but scold, “Aren’t you capable? You look down on this and that. Let’s see how much you can do for your son.”

The old lady was completely flustered. No matter what the old man said, she could not feel it. Her mind was filled with thoughts of the wedding. However, it was useless for her to worry. She could only wait for news from Wang Yunzhi.

However, this news came quickly. That night, Wang Yunzhi called. She didn’t call Wang Yunzhong’s phone, but the landline. The old man picked up the call.

Wang Yunzhi said nothing else. She only said that Wang Yunmei had already canceled the hotel, wedding car, and wedding company she had booked. She didn’t care about this anymore. If her brother sent her an invitation to his wedding, she would go. If he didn’t, she wouldn’t go.

In short, this had nothing to do with Wang Yunmei anymore. She informed them immediately so that they could think of a solution themselves.

The old man didn’t give up and asked Wang Yunzhi to persuade Wang Yunmei, but Wang Yunzhi had already persuaded her. She only said that she had tried her best and hung up.

“How is it?”

The old lady asked worriedly.

The old man held the phone and snorted. “Xiao Mei doesn’t care anymore. She cancelled everything that was ordered.”

“Oh…” When the old lady heard this, she felt the world spin. Her head was dizzy, and her heart felt stuffy. She immediately leaned against the sofa as if the sky had collapsed. She snorted. “What a sin. It’s her brother’s wedding, but she just shirked her responsibilities like that…”
