“That’s not right. Didn’t you say that you’re bringing me out for dinner? How are we gonna eat here? Am I supposed to cook it myself?”

Seeing the empty dining table, she realized that the man seemed to have brought her here for dinner, but there was no food here at all.

“I’ll make it.” Ji Ziming took off his coat, wearing only a white, striped shirt and light gray sweater.

Pei Ge was stunned at this.

“Wha-What did you just say?” She looked at him in disbelief. “Did you just say that you’ll make it? Cook?”

“Mhm.” He nodded calmly, his lips curling up her eyes wide in disbelief.

“Are you joking? You’re cooking?” Her eyes were filled with doubt. It was not that she looked down on him; rather, he did not appear to be the type to cook no matter how much she stared at him!

Noting her frown, he raised his hand and gently patted it before he solemnly answered, “I never joke around.”

This simple statement dispelled all her doubts.

She felt that he might be saying the truth about cooking.

Still, she was a little in disbelief that he was going to cook—no. It was the fact that he could cook.

“Do you know how to cook? Let me help you.”

She blinked at him and softly offered.

“No need. Just watch TV in the living room for a while. I’ll be done soon.”

Seeing that she still did not believe him, he raised an eyebrow and ordered her calmly.

“… Okay, then.” She blinked at his insistence and could only retreat into the living room as she watched a certain CEO stride into the kitchen.

She only recovered after he disappeared from her sight.

“Does he really know how to cook?” she mumbled. “No! I should go in to take a look!”

Can a young master, who doesn’t do any household chores, actually cook? This makes no logical sense at all!

While not knowing how to cook is a minor issue, cooking black magic food is a major issue!

As a foodie, she could not go against her conscience and copy those women in TV dramas praising their men’s cooking despite it being super distasteful and even finishing all the black magic food just because they felt touched!

As she thought up to this, she was able to picture a table full of black magic cooking assaulting her.

Hence, she quickly got up off the sofa and ran into the kitchen.

However, the moment she stepped inside and even before she could say a word, she was stunned by what she saw.

Her soul almost fled her body at the sight of a certain CEO moving around in the kitchen.

Under the dark-yellow lights, there was a man who, with his tall and lean frame, should have been in an elegant business suit or a formal attire.

However, currently, he was wearing a slightly childish and adorable light coffee apron.

Perhaps due to this cute apron, the man’s sharp features actually looked a little cute and gentle, too.

It was said that men are the most attractive when they were concentrating on their work.

Currently, standing at the kitchen door, she fully agreed to this saying as she watched a certain CEO carefully slice a tomato.

It was the first time she had seen someone make cooking feel like art.

He held the tomato down with his left hand and a sharp knife with his right.

It was clearly a cooking stance, but when done by him, it was as if a masterpiece was about to be born.

The man’s calm yet serious face was totally unlike a person cooking!

He was supposed to be a young master who did not belong to the mortal word, yet this young master was willing to descent to it just to cook for her. It truly touched her so much.

Feeling absolutely bliss inside, she could not help but be entranced by him.

Not until the kitchen echoed with chopping sounds did she, who was still standing at the kitchen entrance, regain her senses.

She was instantly shocked by his experienced knife skills.

She did not expect his knife skills to be so good. His speed was, in fact, faster than hers, looking professional even.

“Ziming, when did you learn how to cook?”

Seeing his experienced movements, she could not help but disturb this enthralling sight.

He realized only then that she had unknowingly come into the kitchen.

“Why did you get here?”

He put down the knife in his hands and asked softly.

“I-I…” For a moment, she could actually not say that she was afraid that he would not know how to cook and end up with some black magic cooking; hence, she came in to help him.

“I just came to look…” she muttered, lowering her head sheepishly.

However, she seemed to recall something as she promptly raised her head and glared at him boldly.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you know how to cook? I’ve never eaten the food you cook! Hmph!”

His lips curled up helplessly when he noted the expression on her round face, which seemed to say, ‘I feel like I’ve been cheated!’

“Say it. Is the reason you know how to cook because…” She pursed her lips and inexplicably thought of the photo in his room.

“You learned it for some woman?”

The touched feeling from seeing him cook for her quickly turned into jealousy and worry.

“What are you saying? What woman?”

He was amused at her demanding tone.

This stupid woman. What is really in her mind all day long?

Seeing the smile in his eyes, she pressed on, feeling wronged. “Hurry and say it. Why do you know how to cook?!”

This annoying fellow’s practiced movements clearly show that he has cooked many times, yet I’ve never eaten a mouthful of it…

“Stupid. That woman is you.”
