“Miss Pei, please return.”

When Pei Ge remained on the same spot, Sister Yun’s forehead creased tightly together.

“What if I don’t want to?” She blinked and smiled at her. “I suddenly have the urge to visit the kitchen.”

With that, she walked past Sister Yun and entered the kitchen.

“Mmm… What’s that? It smells good!” she mumbled as she craned her neck.

The female did not expect herself to be snubbed just like that. In her state of shock, she failed to stop her from stepping into the kitchen.

Returning to her senses and recalling her boss’s instructions, she rushed to block Pei Ge’s path without a regard for manners.

“Miss Pei, please leave immediately, or I won’t be polite even if you are our young master’s girlfriend!” She glared at her coldly and did not look like she was lying at all.

She made it apparent that, if Pei Ge so much as pushed her way, she would retaliate without mercy.

The latter was not buying it, however.

Smiling sweetly at Sister Yun, she then… walked past her again.

The female panicked.

The man had given her special instructions not to let this woman inside the kitchen.

Knowing full well her young master’s ego, she knew that he did not want this woman to see him cooking for her.

However, even if the man did not think that way, she, too, did not want this woman to see him cooking for her.

After all, if this woman were that, would it not inflate her ego further?

Unfortunately, despite Sister Yun’s thoughts, Pei Ge was already inside the kitchen.

When she laid eyes on a few men in uniforms busying about in the kitchen, she could not help but mutter inwardly, What is there to see here? Nothing. Why, then, am I not allowed here?

Also, isn’t it just a lunch for the two of us?

Why is there a need for so many people to prepare it?

Sister Yun anxiously trailed after her, and when she saw the orderly scene in the kitchen, the weight on her shoulders eased a little.

“Miss Pei, we are in the middle of food preparation. Please leave and don’t disrupt our work.” Sister Yun watched the woman scan the place curiously.

Pei Ge’s forehead creased at her cold look.

It was odd that she was having such a big reaction now when the latter never had such a strong opinion about her coming and going to the kitchen before.

The expression on the faces of those present seemed a bit off as well.

On top of all these, the atmosphere in the kitchen was strangely tense.

While she could sense that something was not right in the kitchen, she could not see the source of it.

She was abruptly like Detective Conan as she scoured the kitchen.

She did not recognize anyone present in the kitchen.

There was nothing wrong with the dishes, either.

As her eyes peeled on every object in the room, she suddenly spotted a suspicious-looking area.

Yi, someone seems to be behind the curtains.

Suspicion filled her eyes as she looked at the only place with cover in the kitchen.

It really feels like someone is behind it.

Thinking of this, she approached the curtain.

Seeing the woman walk toward the yellow curtain, everyone’s breath hitched and everyone’s eyes widened.

When Sister Yun saw her subordinates’ reaction while she followed the woman from behind, she instantly knew who was hiding behind that curtain…

“Miss Pei!” She frantically grabbed her wrist when she saw her getting closer to it.

“Ah? What’s wrong?” She frowned at Sister Yun.

What’s with the exaggerated reaction?

There was a clear look of panic on her face.

Why is she so frantic?

Blinking, her suspicion toward the curtain increased. Could there really be an unspeakable secret behind it?

“Is there something hidden there? Otherwise, why would you be so scared of me peeking?” She smiled gaily at her.

Sister Yun was half-frightened to death by her question, and for a moment, her mind went blank.

To her, right that instant, the woman before her seemed to have turned into a little demon.

Why would their poor young master like such a woman? Aiiiii…

“Miss Pei, don’t be ridiculous. This is a kitchen; who will be so bored as to hide here?” She laughed dryly, looking guilty.

Young Master, if you are hiding there, please don’t blame me for saying such things. I’m only trying to help you…

“Really? I just feel that there’s someone behind there.” With that, her palm reached out for the curtain.

Oh! Oh, my god!

When Sister Yun saw the woman do that, her whole being froze in panic.

Young Master, don’t blame me!

This woman is so uncultured; I really can’t hold her back!

Young Master, you’d better change girlfriends. This one is really not that outstanding!

In this big kitchen, everyone held their breaths, afraid to even breathe, as they watched her hand reach out for the yellow curtain.

Even the vegetables in the pot of oil were left unattended as they looked at her with wide eyes.

Something must be behind this curtain, right?!

Pei Ge’s eyes brightened at that thought, and she giddily looked at the curtain with excitement.

Still, what exactly is hidden behind this curtain?

Very quickly, her fingers grabbed ahold of the edge of the curtain.

One, two, three…

She moved to pull it with all her might.
