Chapter 259: CEO Ji, should I lose weight?

“I understand, Lily! Thank you!”

Pei Ge spotted Ji Ziming resting on the sofa the moment she reached the salon’s lobby.

He was like a light-emitting body as anyone would easily notice him with just a glance no matter where he was.

“CEO Ji is really handsome. You little lass must properly cling on to such a perfect man!” Seeing the way she simply stared at the man, Lily teased her with a hearty laugh.

Blinking her eyes, Pei Ge did not waste her breath explaining things and only spit inside, It’s because he is this perfect that I shouldn’t get close to him. Too many peach blossoms are waiting to strike, so it will be too tiring trying to fend them all off! I’d rather find an average lover, so that I can live a peaceful and quiet life…

“Aye! Thinking of it is just making me feel more insecure!” Lily suddenly cried, resulting into Pei Ge looking at him questioningly.

She really did not get what Lily was on about.

“Let me jot down my number and social media accounts for you. I will impart some beauty tips to you when I have time.” Lily stopped in front of a table.

“Huh?” She looked at him with confusion and felt touched when the latter proceeded to write down his number and social media account details on a piece of paper.

In fact, they were practically strangers to each other.

They had only met twice so far, and, in both times, their interactions had not been that great.

Despite all these, Lily still treated her with sincerity; he was even thinking about what was good for her.

Ugh… Their thoughts did not seem to go in the same direction, though…

“Take this; add me when you get back. I will give you some beauty tips when I have free time. You’re not young anymore, yet your fashion sense is still at an elementary level…” he criticized.

She was reminded by Lily’s antics of her best friend, Tang Xiaoyu.

Tang Xiaoyu was also this direct and blunt when she spoke to her, yet she knew that her best friend only had her wellbeing in mind.

Thinking of that, her favorable opinion of Lily went up a few more notches.

“Mhm-kay, I will definitely add you when I get back home!” She beamed.

The two quickly reached the lounge Ji Ziming was in amid their happy chatter.

Ji Ziming noticed Pei Ge the moment she stepped into the lobby.

This woman clearly did not have anything special in her, but, for some reason, every time she appeared, he would always be conscious of her.

He himself was surprised at how instinctive this was.

“CEO Ji, how is it? Satisfied?” Lily pushed Pei Ge toward him with a grin and asked smugly.

Ji Ziming regarded the lively-looking Pei Ge before him with admiration and amazement.

It had to be said that the clothes really suited her.

The milky-white fleece top and light pink woolen short skirt, with a matching cropped jacket, made her look refreshing to the eyes and younger.

The attire completely highlighted her merits and gave off a comfortable feeling.

Pei Ge was made self-conscious by Ji Ziming’s stare. Clearing her throat, she said in a soft voice, “CEO Ji, let’s go now.”

“Mhm,” he lightly hummed and then got up off the sofa.

He of course held her hand once more before she could protest.

“…” Eh? Eh, eh, eh, eh?! Stunned by his bold action, she remained in a blank state.

Meanwhile, Lily, who was watching the whole scene unfold, cupped his mouth with his hand and chuckled at the pair.

While Miss Pei is a little plump, she doesn’t look odd at all when she stands next to CEO Ji! They do actually match each other!

Ji Ziming pulled Pei Ge by the hand out of the high-class salon.

Only when they reached the car did Pei Ge realize that Ji Ziming was still holding her hand.

She looked down at her feet as she felt warm radiate from their clasped hands and mumbled inside, Does this annoying fellow still think that I am wearing high heels and can’t walk properly?

“CEO Ji, I’m wearing flats,” she informed.

“Mhm,” the man only lightly hummed in response. He did not show any other reaction to her announcement that she was wearing flats.

At such a lackluster response, she decided to drop the matter altogether.

Who cares?! It is just holding hands. We already held hands for almost half a day; it’s not like I’m not used to it.

When they got into the car, she immediately checked the time. It was not yet 5 P.M.

Her date was scheduled at about 7 P.M., so she still had some free time to go home!

“Going home?” He watched her check the time on the hand phone and then frowned at her nude makeup.

“Yes, home!” she chirped. Mom will definitely be surprised to see me come home like this!

“Why are you wearing makeup if you are just going home?” The man gave her a cutting glance. His tone of voice was that of a husband out to catch his wife having an affair.

“Ugh!” She blinked her eyes innocently and quickly reasoned, “All women love to look pretty! Lily said that I’ll look better with makeup, so I had him apply some on my face!”

She subconsciously hid the matter of her blind date.

“Is that so…” He peered at her.

“Of course! Just think about it; I don’t usually wear makeup as I don’t know how to apply one. Since I’ve met an expert in it, I should of course let him do so!” she hastily explained upon sensing his suspicion.

He could sense that something was fishy with the woman before him from her agitated response.

Still, when he saw the twinkle in her eyes, his expression softened.

“If you like it that much, we can go there again another time,” he softly said as his lips curled up slightly.

“Huh?” Pausing for a moment, she quickly waved her hands to reject his offer. “It’s fine; there’s no need to. This kind of things can only happen once in a while.”

Anyway, I already have Lily’s contact!

“Mhm,” he hummed again, as though he were indifferent about it.

Pei Ge looked at his perfect side profile, then at his not-very-obvious muscles, and Lily’s words sounded in her head.

“Should I lose weight?”
