Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is a Affectionate Spitfire Chapter 1422 – The Disappearing Wariness

Chapter 1422: The Disappearing Wariness

“Baby, come over to mommy.”

Qu Jingwan pursed her lips and glared at Pei Ge quietly, but when she faced the boy, she was ever so gentle.

No matter how gentle her voice was, though, Ji Chi still hesitated. He was no longer as reliant on her as he initially was.

Thus, he was a bit hesitant when he heard her summon.

“Auntie, you’re not my brother’s mommy, and besides, he wants to play blocks with us.”

An An distantly and politely told the missy.

“Yes, auntie! That’s not very nice. Little brother wants to play with us; can’t you see that he’s having fun?”

Ran Ran looked up and glared at her.

Seeing that she was about to say something, the girl looked around.

“Grandma, look at auntie! She knows that little brother wants to play building blocks with us and knows that he listens to her, but she’s calling him and not letting him play with us!”

Madam Ji, who was watching a soap opera, turned to see the indignant look on the little guys’ faces when she heard her granddaughter call her.

Even though she preferred Qu Jingwan over Pei Ge for her daughter-in-law, the former was nothing compared to her precious grandchildren.

“If the children want to play, let them. How about you come watch TV with me?”

The missy’s face turned dark when she heard that suggestion, but she understood that the only person she could count on to keep her here was this elderly woman.

Despite her reluctance, she did not dare to disobey her. She sat down by her side and obediently began to watch TV with her.

The girl beamed when she saw that she had gotten rid of the lady.

Her mother smiled in amusement upon seeing the smug smile on her face.

“You cheeky little thing.”

She muttered as she patted her daughter on the head.

“He he!”

The girl smiled happily as she pulled Ji Chi, who looked slightly hesitant, to the side.

“Little brother, let’s continue with our swan castle! We’ll be done by the time daddy’s out at work. We can give him a surprise with this; I’m sure he’ll be happy.”

She was really good at coaxing people. The hesitance on the boy’s face disappeared following her words, and his clear eyes lit up instantly.

“Yes, little brother; daddy really likes the swan castle. We’ve got to build it well.”

Even though the oldest boy was unsure if his father liked swan castles, that did not prevent him from helping his sister out on cajoling their brother.

Therefore, under the pair of siblings’ cajoling, their little brother focused on building the castle.

As they pieced one wooden block after another, the distance between the boy and his mother seemed to disappear.
