Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is a Affectionate Spitfire Chapter 1197 – You are finally awake!

Chapter 1197: You are finally awake!

“Wow! Sleeping granny got kissed by an old prince! Grandma’s gonna wake up now!”

Everyone in the room was stunned by these words, but that was not the most unexpected thing.

It was just child talk, but the woman in a coma actually woke up!

“You… You let go of my mother!”

Pei Ge’s eyes blazed when she saw this foreigner on top of her mother.

She moved closer without a regard for him, but before she could pull him away, she caught sight of her mother’s eyes moving.

Her long lashes fluttered like a fan and then opened.

“Hua!”

Seeing the woman beneath him open his eyes, the elderly man called out in surprise. There was nothing but surprise to him!

He called out to her excitedly, his blue eyes bright.

“You’re awake!”

He did not expect his wish to come true. The woman he loved… actually woke up from her coma.

“Mom!”

Pei Ge did not know that her mother had woken up at first, but when she heard the man say that, she looked at her mother and indeed saw that she had regained consciousness.

“Mom!” she called out in agitation, rushing to her side and staring at her unblinkingly thereafter.

Probably due to her long-term confinement in bed, Zhang Manhua’s body movement and speech were a bit slow to return; thus, when she saw her daughter, she could not say anything besides raspy sounds.

“Doc! Doc! Go get the doctor here!”

Seeing her state, Charles looked at the man standing at the back and ordered.

Egger only returned to himself at that and hurriedly left the ward to call the doctor.

“Mom, how do you feel? Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?”

Pei Ge half-knelt before her mother’s bed as she probed urgently.

“Ah.” Her mother nodded slowly while regarding her with unblinking eyes; it was as if she were looking at a long-lost treasure.

“That’s great; that’s great… You’re finally awake. I thought that you no longer wanted to be with me…”

As she watched her mother shake her head, Pei Ge’s tears flowed from her eyes uncontrollably. She felt choked as she put her head on her mother.

“Mommy, why are you crying when grandma has woken up?”

“Mommy, don’t cry! If you cry, grandma will feel sad.”

The two kids were not intimidated by the chaos in the room. Instead, when they saw her crying, they stood by her and began comforting her.

Hearing the comforting words, Pei Ge recollected herself. She sniffled and looked at her mother with a smile.

“Mom, this is An An and this in Ran Ran.”

She pulled the two little guys to the front and introduced them to her mother.

“They are your grandchildren! Haven’t you been waiting for grandchildren? This time, I gave birth to twins!”

She smiled at her mother, her voice still a little choked.

“Come, you two. Call her grandma!”

Both kids stared at their grandmother without blinking and then smiled brightly at her.

“Grandma, you’re finally awake! Brother and Ran Ran missed you!”

“Grandma, hurry up and get up; An An will bring you home.”

“A-An An… Ran Ran…”

Zhang Manhua actually managed to call the two children’s names after she heard them speak, though her voice was very raspy and hoarse from long disuse.

“Mom, don’t speak yet; don’t speak yet!”

She stopped her mother from speaking further, worried that it might hurt her throat.

“Right, Hua! Don’t speak yet; don’t speak yet. You haven’t spoken in so long; it’ll hurt your throat.”

She only remembered that another person was in the ward when she heard the man speak.

She was really shocked this time, though.

After all, the elderly individual actually spoke to her mother in Chinese!

He was clearly speaking in English earlier.

“Lie still for now. The doctor will be here soon.”

Her impression of this foreigner improved when he took the effort to speak to her mother in their native language.

The doctor quickly arrived at the ward.

Under the nervous gazes of these two adults, the doctor quickly assessed Zhang Manhua’s condition.

“The patient’s body is recovering well. She just has to undergo slight physiotherapy and should be able to get out of here fast.”

Pei Ge’s heart finally settled upon hearing the doctor’s diagnosis.

“That’s good; that’s good…” she muttered repeatedly.

The middle-aged man had the same thought.

He wore a relieved expression just like any ordinary human being.

After the doctor gave Zhang Manhua some glucose to lubricate her throat, she could speak properly again.

Of course, her first few words were the two children’s names.

Pei Ge was delighted to see that her mother really liked the two kids.

Seeing her mother treating the kids familiarly, she was confused.

“Mom, could you hear our voices while you were in a coma?”

Immediately after she spoke, the elderly man chimed in excitedly, “Hua, then do you also… remember me?”
