Only now did Shangguan Ning understand the reason for his weird behaviour when they got the beach, He thought that her being scantily dressed, attracted unwanted male attention. She didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry at this.

Jing Yichen planted a kiss on her plump, red lips. He then got down on one knee right there at the beach, and pulled out a shiny diamond ring.

He then asked her gently, “Ning, will you marry me?”

Shangguan Ning was so pleasantly surprised that she covered her mouth in shock and stared at him in disbelief.

How come he was asking her to marry him? They had been married for over a month.

He was making a mistake.

Shangguan Ning’s heartbeat came down to normal and she took over the ring, and said happily, “I will!”

As if on cue, fireworks broke out, at the sea’s horizon.The couple looked so splendid, against the afterglow.

Jing Yichen stood up, put the ring on Shangguan Ning’s slender ring finger,and said , “We got married in a hurry, so I was thinking about redoing my proposal to you. I apologise for the delay, but it was because of the ring. It was to arrive from a foreign shore and didn’t get here until only a little while ago.”

Shangguan Ning choked with happiness and sobbed with joy. She couldn’t get over sight of the fireworks, forming the word ‘ Love’, up in the sky, not to forget, the beautiful, luxurious diamond ring on her finger.

She had never expected that a man as cold as Jing Yichen, could be so romantic sometimes.

She sniffed her nose hearing his proposal and said, “Well, I have married you after all. Proposal or not, I am yours.”
