Chapter 380: So You Fancy Me?

The following day, Ji Bo and Lan Yu reached the teahouse before time. This was the same place where they had held negotiations with Jing Yichen earlier.

Lan Yu barely went outdoors, and even if she did step out, she would choose a dark night. She seemed to be in a good mood to be able to drink tea during the daytime today.

However, when Jing Yichen arrived, her smile stiffened.

Ji Bo couldn’t resist getting angry. He got annoyed every time he met Jing Yichen. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling.

“Watch out Mu Qing. She is my fiancée! You can’t mess around here, this is not your hospital.”

Mu Qing pursed his lips and released the hands unwillingly as he mumbled. “So stingy. I just thought that your fiancée looked like one of my old friends. What is wrong in shaking hands? I am not in love with her. I have a fiancée myself!”

Ji Bo got so annoyed that the veins popped on his forehead. He stood with a straight back and bellowed as he looked at Jing Yichen. “Give me a reasonable explanation, Master Jing! You are here to discuss a confidential collaboration. Why have you brought these two outsiders alongwith? He is a doctor and that one is a policeman. Are you looking down on Family Ji’s Enterprise?”

Ji Bo had met Mu Qing many times. When his aunt Ji Minyu was suffering from a heart-ache, she had received the treatment at Family Mu’s hospital. Although Mu Qing was not the doctor in charge, yet he was the director who had taken a look at the former mayor at that time. Therefore, Ji Bo knew Mu Qing well.

As for Zheng Jing, Ji Bo and he had been classmates in elementary school all the way to the high school. When Ji Lili was sent to the prison by Jing Yichen, Zheng Jing was in charge of Ji Lili’s case. Ji Bo had bailed Ji Lili out through Zheng Jin as well.

Of course they knew each other!

Jing Yichen did this on purpose.

He was not here for negotiation. He was here to start a war. He had made so many preparations just to cancel the contract which Ji Minjue signed with Jing Yichen a while back but it seemed that Jing Yichen had tricked him again.

A similar thing happened with Star Media last year. When they were all prepared to get the payment from Jingsheng, Jing Yichen rejected the offer in the end. Later, negative news about the actors of Star Media were everywhere in the public because of which the stock price dropped tremendously and the company was bought at a very low price by Jingsheng!

Right now, Ji Bo felt the commanding look of a person with a higher calibre, and became extremely angry.

Apparently, Ji Bo was angry because Mu Qing and Zheng Jing were not the financial elites of Jing Yichen’s team rather than due to the rudeness which Mu Qing had shown towards his fiancée.

Jing Yichen still had no expression on his face as if he had expected all of this to happen.

Both Mu Qing and Zheng Jing burst into laughter at the same time.

Jing Yichen was truly evil. Ji Bo had been tricked by him with no way out of the situation.

It was not a business collaboration meeting. He was just trying to test Ji Bo’s reaction towards Lan Yu. The fact was that he didn’t care about Lan Yu but about his own company and interest.

Jing Yichen had already set the trap. He was waiting for Ji Bo and Lan Yu to fall into it. Jing Yichen was the one who had written those lines for Mu Qing.

Actually, Mu Qing didn’t know Lan Yu. He didn’t find her familiar either.

Jing Yichen looked nonchalant facing Ji Bo’s irritating interrogation. “Seems that you know them, then everything is much easier. So will be the negotiation.”

Ji Bo got so annoyed that he started to tremble. But he had nowhere to vent the anger.

“Master Jing, you don’t seem to be sincere about our collaboration!”

Jing Yichen threw a look at him and said coldly, “President Ji, you better introduce your partner. You know everyone from my side, but I don’t know yours. It is not as per the rules.”

What did he mean by rules?

Did he follow rules when he brought a doctor and a policeman as well as a strong bodyguard when he was here for a high-end negotiation? “Master Jing, this is my fiancée. You both met last time!” Ji Bo sounded unfriendly. He was no longer the gentle Mr. Ji in front of Jing Yichen.

Without changing his face, Jing Yichen said coldly, “I have met way too many people and I don’t remember ordinary faces. Also, my colleagues have never met her before. You say that I have brought someone unrelated but what I see is that, it is you who has brought someone unrelated. We are talking about a confidential deal. Give me a reason that she isn’t a spy!”

Before Ji Bo managed to say anything, Lan Yu smiled and said, “Master Jing, you seem quite interested in me. Have you changed your taste and started to like me, instead?”
