Jing Yichen got a bit startled. He threw a look at Jing Zhongxiu sitting by the bedside of Jing Tianyuan. He had no expression on his face as if he had predicted everything. He said seriously, “Don’t worry Grandpa, I will pass everything of Family Jing down to the next generation.”

Jing Tianyuan nodded and then threw a look at Shangguan Ning before saying without hesitation. “I have just got one requirement. You have to be the owner of everything, rather than Ning.”

Jing Yichen got startled, so did Shangguan Ning. She had never expected that when grandpa and grandson were talking about such a serious matter, they would turn to her topic.

She had been deeply immersed in the seriousness and solemnity of Family Jing’s inheritance. She admired this ritual very much.

But she soon came back to herself. She understood that Jing Tianyuan was worried that she might make the same mistake as Mo Lan

Shangguan Ning said to Jing Tianyuan with a smile, “Oh Grandpa, aren’t you worried that I might get upset when you speak like that in front of me? But you think too little of me. I don’t want any of the properties of Family Jing. After all, I have a lot of money to spend. You better keep your properties well sealed!”

Jing Tianyuan burst into laughter all of a sudden after hearing what she said.

That was the first smile he had shown in the past few days.

She only expressed gratitude rather than the willingness of whether or not she would accept it, because when the time came, she would listen to Jing Yichen to decide if she should accept whatever he gave her.

Mo Lan sat next to Jing Tianyuan and helped him instead of Jing Zhongxiu.
