Chapter 265: To France

Everyone showered and changed into the new clothes which the servants had prepared for them. They played cards until midnight before going to bed.

But the problem occurred again when they were about to sleep.

Jing Yichen and Shangguan Ning certainly had no problem sleeping together, but Zhao Anan wanted to share the bed with Zheng Lun who didn’t like sharing bed with anyone else. But she did like Zhao Anan for her outgoing personality, so she agreed with her proposal.

It so happened that she didn’t like sleeping alone in a strange environment, so she felt assured to have a familiar face next to her.

Zheng Lun didn’t notice his struggle. She was very excited that he had agreed to keep her company. She looked radiant.

Controlling his violently heartbeat, Zheng Jing pulled his hand out of Zheng Lun’s and said softly, “Sleep well. I will be by your side. Don’t be scared.”

Zheng Lun nodded. She could feel the air in the room filled with her virile brother. Finally, she closed her eyes with a smile on her lips.

Some time later, Zheng Lun started to breathe evenly and stopped tossing around. She was fast asleep.

Seeing his sister fall asleep, Zheng Lun stared at her beautiful and exquisite face carefully as if wanting to frame it into his heart.

His fingers tucked her loose hair behind her ears and then kissed softly upon her snowy face as he said in a low voice, “Good Night, Little Seven.”

Zheng Lun was afraid of darkness, so Zheng Lun didn’t switch off the bedside lamp and turned away after looking at his sister for a long minute. Then he opened the door and walked out.

His sister was an inexperienced girl and it was normal if she had some confusing feelings towards him. But he was an experienced man and a veteran policeman. He mustn’t have any feelings towards his own sister beyond the brother-and-sister relationship, absolutely not!

But the fearless Zheng Jing , for the very first time of his life, dare not ask himself if he really treated Zheng Lun as only his sister.

After Zheng Jing left, Zheng Lun, who was supposed to be asleep, opened her eyes.

Her brother’s remaining warmth and fragrant air were still lingering upon her cheeks, making her heart beat fast!

Tears trickled down from her eyes. Her brother had just called her Little Seven rather than Lun!

Because her original name was not Zheng Lun. It was Little Seven!

Could it have been possible that her brother had feelings for her as well?

Shangguan Ning and Jing Yichen were lying in each other’s arms. As the sweet moonlight pierced in through the window, the bedroom was full of light, tranquil and wonderful.

Shangguan Ning snuggled inside Jing Yichen’s arms and found a comfortable spot. Then she held his waist and said in a happy tone, “Why do I feel a bit nervous and excited to marry you? It’s so strange, we are already married!”

Jing Yichen was in a happy mood. He lowered his head and planted a soft kiss upon his wife’s forehead as he said with a low voice, “Me too. I feel that I am going to marry you formally now. I am worried that something would go wrong with the wedding, so I keep making sure that every step is perfect.”

Shangguan Ning smiled after hearing what he said. Seeing him earlier, she had assumed that he had everything under control. But it turned out that he was also feeling quite nervous, maybe more nervous than she was.

“Yes, I am! But someone was more eager sometime back. He forced me to go to the Civil Affairs Office to get the certificate when I didn’t even know his name. Tell me then, who is more eager?”

Jing Yichen chuckled and then held Shangguan Ning tightly into his arms as he said softly, “Okay, okay, I am the eager one, alright?”

He tweaked her nose with his fingers. “So petty! Still remembers those things.”

The following morning when Shangguan Ning opened her eyes, she found that she was not in the room where she had slept the night before. Instead, she was in a plane flying high in the sky!

A musical voice reached her ears. “Up now?”

Shangguan Ning sat up and looped her arms around Jing Yichen’s neck. Looking at him with a pair of drowsy eyes, she asked him, “Where are we going? When did I board the plane?”

“To France.” Jing Yichen tucked her hair behind her ears and then brought her head under his chin. He said calmly, “I didn’t want to wake you up from your deep sleep. So I carried you up to the plane. Are you worried that I will sell you?”
