“I would have called him, if he answered my call. You think I would’ve needed you, then?

Although Jing Yiran wasn’t someone to be taken seriously, yet Mu Qing knew that the information that Jing Yiran wanted to share would definitely be important to Jing Yichen.

“If it turns out that you don’t have anything important to tell him, I will ensure that you leave this hospital on your back, instead of your feet.” Mu Qing threatened him one more time.

He pulled out his phone to call Jing Yichen.

After the phone call went through, Jing Yichen answered and said,”What is it?”

“Master Jing, the weirdo, Jing Yiran has asked me to call you. He has some important information that he wants to share with you.”

Jing Yichen replied indiferently, “Let him talk.”

Jing Yiran slowly pulled out his own phone and pressed the “play” button.

A clear conversation between a man and a woman started to play. The man sounded rough and ruthless whilst the woman sounded quite gentle.

“What is this?”

“The university teacher I asked you to check out last time. Make a deal with him.”

“What deal?”

“Tell him to make sure that the woman is ruined. Tell him that after he is done, the Deputy-Mayor would back him up. He will be given a clean chit. He will not only be able to get this pretty lass but also be rewarded with a great amount of money. Be very careful. Cover your tracks at all times. Watch your back and you know of course, that my name cannot get involved in any case.”

“Don’t worry, I have always been clean with my work. I have no intention of getting you involved.”

“Good!”

“But, my payment…”

“I will give you enough money to last you a few generations, as long as you ruin that woman.”

The sound of two people struggling and panting could be heard from the record. What was happening between them, was obvious.

The information is important and so well concealed that I had to listen to the tape a few times before I finally understood what was happening. But that was just me. You must’ve understood it immediately, have you not? You are so smart!”

“Wait in the hospital. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

Jing Yichen kept it brief. He got into the car and said to Tiger, “Family Mu’s Hospital. Now!”

Tiger dashed off towards Family Mu’s Hospital.

Jing Yichen knew what the recording conveyed. He also knew who the two people were. What he didn’t know was how Jing Yiran got hold of the record. If he had been involved in this sensitive matter, then Jing Yichen would beat him black and blue.

When the nurses at Family Mu’s Hospital saw Jing Yichen, they were excited and wondered what special day it was that day, to have brought the two most handsome men in A city, to their hospital on the same morning.

The staff at Mu Qing’s hospital, all knew who Jing Yiran was. They knew that he was the second heir to the Jingsheng Enterprise. Hardly anyone knew Jing Yichen. He was extremely good looking but no one knew of his lineage.

Jing Yichen walked straight to Mu Qing’s office, and his bevy of bodyguards led the way for him.

Jing Yichen was an introvert by nature and did not like to handle the media or give interviews. He liked to let his work do the talking, but looking at his convoy of guards, everyone guessed that he was some who held a certain authority. Someone went up and held the door of Mu Qing’s office open for him. The man bowed courteously, “Please, Elder Master!”

Jing Yichen walked in, leaving behind a group of dumbfounded hospital staff.

So, he was the legendary Jing Yichen. The older son of Family Jing, the heir of Family Jing, the new President of Jingsheng Enterprise?!

He didn’t know what all of it meant, and had no idea why it was important, but for some reason Mu Qing thought that the man’s voice in the recording, seemed very familiar. After thinking for a few minutes, he still couldn’t recollect whom the voice belonged to.

Jing Yiran seemed to be enjoying Jing Yichen’s impatience. He laughed. “Hahah, you really don’t know how to talk, do you? How would I know where this man is, when you have been searching for him in all of A City? Or, are you asking me for answers, thereby admitting that I am smarter than you? Looks like there are still somethings that you can’t achieve.This is so exciting! I thought that you were Superman, who was capable of doing anything, but it seems as though you are even more incapable than I am!”
