Seeing how silent she was, Gu Yu’s eyes darkened. He didn’t ask anything more. Instead, he carried Xu Weilai bridal-style into the bedroom. With a few giant strides, he entered the bedroom. He put her on the bed so she could lie down.

His large hand made its way to Xu Weilai’s face, trying to push her hair away so he could take a look at her. But, just as his fingertips were about to touch her face, he heard a fierce and raspy retort from her, “Don’t touch me!”

Gu Yu’s hand stopped in midair.
