“You don’t understand Fu Huai’an!” May Myint Yady stood up and asked Marius, “Are you leaving or not?”

Marius couldn’t help frowning, feeling that May Myint Yady was imagining Fu Huai’an to be more formidable than he really was. He coaxed May Myint Yady patiently. “Derbykruder went to prepare the auction item. Let’s leave after seeing what it is, okay?”

“Then I’ll go back first, you stay and watch by yourself!” May Myint Yady wasn’t throwing a tantrum by saying this. She said calmly to Marius, “Just send me one of your men, I’ll go back and wait for you…”

As if afraid Marius wouldn’t agree, May Myint Yady hesitated for a moment and softened her tone. “If the mystery auction item Derbykruder prepared seems nice, you can bid for it and give it to me…”

Just then, May Myint Yady’s phone vibrated in her pocket. Seeing that it was a call from London, May Myint Yady’s pupils dilated. Before she could answer the call, there was the sound of a silenced gun… A bullet shot through the phone in May Myint Yady’s hand and sunk into the wall in an instant.

Those present were from the underworld, so some people sharply realized that this was the sound made by a silenced gun. That was especially so for those standing closer to May Myint Yady, who saw the sparks that flew from her phone after it was struck by the bullet.

Everyone had passed through the security check when they entered. Other than Derbykruder’s men, no one was allowed to bring in a gun. However, there were still people who were more conscious of their own safety and were unwilling to leave their lives in the hands and protection of Derbykruder’s men, so they still tried means and ways to bring their gun in.

Amidst the chaos, someone took out their gun and fired in the direction of the stairs. Derbykruder’s men also whipped out their guns, but they dared not fire hastily! After all… those who were seated downstairs were boss-level figures in the underworld. No one could die there, especially not by the guns of Derbykruder’s men…

It became a frenzied commotion in an instant. Hearing gunshots in the dark amplified the fear amongst people, and those who had a lower capacity to endure such a thing psychologically tried to hide and run outside. Screams could be heard everywhere.

Derbykruder’s men were being pushed and shoved, and they couldn’t even hold their guns steady…

The minute a call came in from London, something happened at the ball she came to attend with Marius. Very quickly, May Myint Yady figured things out. It was just that she was unsure whether Fu Huai’an was the one who had gone to London to rescue those people or whether he was the one who came to kill her!

With her phone destroyed, May Myint Yady had to quickly think of a way to contact the London side and order her men to kill the four comrades of Fu Huai’an, ensuring that he had no chance to rescue them successfully.

Under the protection of his bodyguards, Marius took May Myint Yady and walked to the door Derbykruder went out of earlier. It was there that he was stopped. Marius sounded stern and intimidating as he said, “I’m Marius, either take me to Derbykruder or take me out of here!”

Marius was a bigshot in Mexico’s underworld, so Derbykruder’s men couldn’t possibly allow something to happen to him in their territory. But the entire building was completely dark, and no one was able to make out anyone else. Moreover, especially at a time like this, those who were alert wouldn’t try to get a light from their phone or from a flashlight. After all, there was no way of knowing who was holding the gun, and there was no guarantee that one wouldn’t be shot.

Derbykruder’s man said. He planned to take them to a bright area, and after confirming their identities, either send them to Derbykruder or send them out.

After her eyes adjusted to the darkness, May Myint Yady turned her head and indistinctly saw a tall and broad figure, making her heart violently throb. That familiar yet dangerous feeling overwhelmed her entire body.

May Myint Yady had always known that if Fu Huai’an had made up his mind to be merciless, she would have died with her older brother the last time around! So this time, she only dared to take action after seizing Fu Huai’an’s weakness!

May Myint Yady understood Fu Huai’an and had anticipated all kinds of situations. But the one thing she didn’t know was Fu Huai’an’s other identity—Mr. Moral!

It wasn’t that she hadn’t foreseen that Fu Huai’an might hire mercenaries to rescue his comrades or to kill her…

“What is it?” The minute Marius turned his head, he felt May Myint Yady’s body sliding downwards…

He frantically hugged May Myint Yady, shouting out, “Baby?”

May Myint Yady’s head was pressed close to his chest, a warm and wet sensation reeking of blood spreading. Marius paused in shock, his head blanking out. As he subconsciously felt for the back of May Myint Yady’s head, the heat from the fresh blood scorched his palms!

A “weng” sound went off in Marius’s head. He lifted May Myint Yady up and howled hysterically, “Give way!”

Marius felt like his entire soul was being sucked out, his body quivering as he held his most beloved woman in his arms. He wouldn’t let anything happen to May Myint Yady!

“Derbykruder! Derbykruder!” Marius hysterically shouted Derbykruder’s name. He knew that Derbykruder always brought along a doctor wherever he went.

Derbykruder, who had already packed up and was planning to leave, paused as he made out Marius’s voice.

After the chandelier crashed to the floor, Derbykruder had retreated to the back, intending to leave via his emergency escape route should an incident occur.

“Bring them over!” Derbykruder said to his subordinates.

Downstairs, Little Lu saw that the lights in the entire building had gone out, making his heart raise to his throat. He quickly drove to the FFID building and parked the car, careful to avoid the surveillance cameras. However, the anxious Little Lu dared not get out of the car.

Little Lu didn’t turn off the engine, internally struggling as to whether he should get out of the car or continue to wait in the car. The door to the front passenger seat opened, startling Little Lu. He turned his head…
