Gu Qingcheng took the phone and gripped it with his long fingers, staring fixedly upon Lin Nuan with a deep gaze.

Seeing this, Gu Qingcheng shot the others a look and had everyone else leave the living room on the first floor with him.

Inside the living room, it was so quiet that they could only hear each others’ breathing.

Smelling the faint scent of shampoo from Lin Nuan’s hair, Fu Huai’an pulled her in even closer, then asked in a low voice, “Were you startled?”

Lin Nuan nodded, then shook her head. After wiping away her tears with the clothing on Fu Huai’an’s chest, she looked up at him. “I knew that Ah Zhan wouldn’t hurt me, so I wasn’t scared! But, seeing you arrange so many people around me, I was afraid that you might be in danger but are keeping it from me! Sending the people meant to protect you over to my side!”

Fu Huai’an gazed at Lin Nuan’s misted up eyes. Although he could now see that she was safe and secure, when he thought of how Ah Zhan threatened her, he felt a choking sensation in his chest.

He held back his heavy breathing as he lowered his head and kissed her dry and slightly chapped lips, familiarly prying open her teeth.

Lin Nuan stood on her tiptoes, moving her hands up Fu Huai’an’s back, up to his firm shoulders, accommodating Fu Huai’an’s aggressive and experienced hot kiss.

His lips felt hot, but his nose was particularly cold.

After a long and lingering kiss, Lin Nuan felt her feet grow numb and sore.

She leaned her forehead against Fu Huai’an and turned red in the face. She lowered her gaze, but the light flutter of her eyelashes could barely conceal her shyness.
