Although what had taken place at Tianfu Bay today was certainly not as serious as having an extramarital affair, one could perhaps say that it had the makings of the start of an affair.

Lin Nuan took a long gaze at Fu Huai’an and remained silent as she walked to the dining table. She bent over to sort through the documents given to her by Liu Mingchen, ruffling the papers forcefully on purpose.

Fu Huai’an grinned and stood behind Lin Nuan as he rested one hand on the dining table and the other against the backrest of the chair, encircling her.

He leaned towards Lin Nuan and spoke in a hushed tone. “I didn’t even do or say anything. She was the one who took off her clothes, and you’re angry with me? I feel wronged!”

Lin Nuan held the papers in her hands and arranged them in a neat pile on the dining table. She said indifferently, “Well, let’s see if you can react just as calmly if a man were to undress in front of me and I didn’t do or say anything.”

“Lin Nuan, let’s discuss this rationally.” Fu Huai’an lowered his deep and mellow voice as he pressed his body against her back.

Her hands paused midway, she pursed her lips and didn’t reply. Then, she lowered her gaze and pulled the papers towards her chest, clutching them tightly against her body.

She recalled how Chu Xun had asked Fu Huai’an if he would like her to make the first move. Lin Nuan knew that Fu Huai’an probably enjoyed that, since he had been dropping hints to her, asking when she would be making the first move.

Fu Huai’an’s voice was inherently authoritative and sounded more like a command that one had to obey.
