He struggled in those thoughts about Lin Nuan for nearly ten hours. She looked young and maiden-like five years ago, but the woman in front of him appeared to be a mature young woman.

Wen Moshen had visible veins in his eyes since he missed a night’s sleep. Lin Nuan’s calm composure made it seem like nothing had happened.

He suppressed the burning agony in his heart as he stood before her with his hands in his pockets. He gazed into Lin Nuan’s eyes intensely, as if he were trying desperately to search for any sign of disguise.

After a long pause, Wen Moshen finally said, “I just came here…”

Lin Nuan’s speaker was on a moderate volume, so Wen Moshen couldn’t hear what the other end was saying. He could, however, tell that it was a male voice.

The cool wind brushed through Lin Nuan’s hair as she squinted her eyes to prevent the loose strands from falling inside.

“I went to buy some food in the supermarket. You were sleeping like a baby, so I decided not to wake you up. Get some more rest… I’ll be back in half an hour.”

Wen Moshen instinctively wanted to reach out to tuck her strands of hair behind her ear. She was one step ahead and brushed her hair behind her ear.
