Her sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, and she wore an intricate watch with white straps on her wrist, making her skin appear even fairer.

Lin Nuan was using her phone with great care under the warm light, and her features looked so attractive he couldn’t look away.

Fu Huai’an shifted the phone in his hand and slowly closed the door, pacing towards Lin Nuan.

“What are you looking at?”

He stood behind her as he spoke into her ear with his deep voice.

Lin Nuan immediately turned around and saw him standing behind her with his hands in his pockets. She said, “I checked the fridge for raw fish since I was planning to steam fish for dinner, but there weren’t any ingredients and wine in the kitchen, so I called for delivery.”

Lin Nuan’s sweater was quite large and clearly revealed her defined, attractive collarbones.

Fu Huai’an asked as he gazed into her eyes, “Is the delivery on the way?”

“Yes!” She locked her phone screen and looked up at him.

They held each other’s gaze, and the depth in his eyes made her heart race.

There was an unspeakable tension between the two of them.

His magnetic voice made her lose her breath. She was too shy to answer, and she felt her mind go blank. Purposely diverting the subject, she said, “How about we have steamed fish, roasted pork, tomatoes, broccoli, and tomatoes with fried eggs for dinner? The housekeeper’s veggies are…”

Fu Huai’an gently cupped her waist and pulled her towards him. He propped his chin up on her head and asked, “Did you miss me?”

Lin Nuan felt his chest move as he spoke, and his breath gave her an intense feeling. The rest of her words got stuck in her throat. She looked down and tried to calm herself.

Lin Nuan’s face was resting against his chest. She could hear his strong heartbeat. Without being able to say anything, she wrapped her arms across his compact, built waist.
