Mr Fu, I Really Love You 156 Lin Nuan Waited in Place

Lin Nuan stood in the elevator with her heart pounding. She almost unconsciously followed those two girls out the elevator.

There was a rush of people walking in and out of the apartment after their job shift ended.

Lin Nuan’s legs felt stiff and cold as the breeze came by.

Just as she turned around, the people who just got of their shift entered the elevator, and it was too late for Lin Nuan to go upstairs to change her pants.

The phone in her bag vibrated. It was Fu Huai’an calling—he must have been waiting too long.

Time was precious for men like Fu Huai’an. It must be a first for him to wait for someone downstairs and squander away his time.

As she answered the phone, she apologized and walked towards the door. “I’m sorry that I got delayed upstairs a while. I’m already on my way out the elevator.”

As she hung up the phone, Lin Nuan clenched her fists and prepared herself mentally.

Just then, the business women who came in and out of the apartment were wearing high heels and skirts. What was wrong with showing a little skin? Was it really like what Bai Xiaonian said? She couldn’t wear the skirts she wanted just because of Fu Huai’an?

She clenched her purse and walked out of the apartment as she prepared herself mentally.

In the car, Fu Huai’an had a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. Before he lit it with the lighter in his hand, he looked up towards the direction of the apartment as if he was telepathic.

Fu Huai’an watched Lin Nuan standing on the stairs through his half-open deep eyes. His glance fell on her straight, fair legs. The flame was shifting as it accentuated his defined sharp features and his unfathomable eyes.

It was cold outside. As a breeze rushed by, Lin Nuan closed her legs unconsciously to block out the coldness.

She raised her hand to put her loose strands of hair behind her ear and looked towards the direction of Fu Huai’an’s car.

Through a glass window, she saw him biting a cigarette in his mouth with one hand on the car window and the other holding the lighter, looking calm and indifferent. The tiny flame was enough for her to see his clear features and his pitch black eyes that made her heart beat faster.

She tried to control herself and walked downstairs. Her straight and elegant legs crossed each other, which was a pretty sight.

His Adam’s apple gently shifted as he gulped. Switching off the lighter, he bit on the cigarette and loosened his shirt collar, the gaze of his eyes growing deeper.

Seeing Fu Huai’an’s car drive towards her slowly, Lin Nuan stood in place.

As the car parked, she opened the door opposite the driver’s seat and sat down with one hand tugging her skirt.

Her skirt wasn’t short, but it wasn’t long enough either. The denim skirt moved upwards quite a bit as she sat down.

She was clearly awkward inside, but she pretended to calmly put her bag on her left side to cover her legs.

Yet the square purse was too small and insignificant to cover up anything.

On the driver’s seat, Fu Huai’an kept one hand on the wheel with the cigarette still in his mouth. His side profile looked cold and stiff, appearing both charming and chaste at the same time.

He noticed Lin Nuan’s subtle movements through the corner of his eye and looked towards her.

The dark green square purse was attached to her slender, fair legs, making her skin look even more delicate and fair than usual.

Noticing his gaze, Lin Nuan suddenly got fidgety and regretted not changing into her pants upstairs.

She adjusted her skirt and pretended to be calm by breaking the awkward silence first. “Where are we going?”

“If you don’t have anything in mind to eat, I’ll take you somewhere…”

Without waiting for Lin Nuan to respond, he used his eyes to signal to her to buckle her seatbelt.

She pulled over the seatbelt and buckled herself as she looked straight forward, appearing as studious as she could.
