Mr Fu, I Really Love You 138 Were You Interrupted by Tuan Tuan?

Bai Xiaonian and Lin Nuan sat next to each other in front of the makeup mirror as they read their documents with their heads down. Suddenly they heard the makeup artist exclaim in shock, “Oh dear… Sister Nuan, what happened to your neck?”

Bai Xiaonian looked up into the mirror and noticed the vaguely visible red mark on Lin Nuan’s neck. She turned around to look at her neck and smiled. “Hey… the mark I made last night still hasn’t disappeared?”

Lin Nuan suddenly thought of the man who left the red mark which suddenly burned like fire.

She clenched her fists and answered with a flushed face, “Yup.”

Nobody was stupid those days. She could fool a kid by saying the mark came from a mosquito, but what about a twenty-year-old adult?

Lin Nuan’s explanation for the mark seemed very contrived. But if she didn’t explain, who knew how bad the rumors would get starting from these two makeup artists.

They looked stunned upon hearing that.

Lin Nuan looked down at the documents in her hand but her mind was occupied by the man she tried so hard to ignore.

Her heart raced at a speed that made her blush uncontrollably again. She looked down and shook the documents in her hand, pretending to remember it. “Stop acting improper. Memorize your script properly.”

Upon hearing Bai Xiaonian’s explanation, the two makeup artists suddenly looked like they suddenly understood everything. They laughed gently and said Lin Nuan sure wasn’t thick-skinned.

After they left, Bai Xiaonian immediately put the documents down in front of the mirror. She pulled her chair up to Lin Nuan and pulled open her white collar, examining the kiss marks that already looked less conspicuous thanks to the concealer.

“Do you want to tell me yourself or do I need to ask for it the hard way?”

Lin Nuan’s ears flushed. She put the news documents down on her lap and tugged on her collar to cover the marks.

“Fu Huai’an?” Bai Xiaonian guessed correctly in an instant. “Did you two… sleep together again last night?”

Lin Nuan didn’t hide anything. “Almost.”

“How close? Were you interrupted by Tuan Tuan?” Bai Xiaonian smiled with her eyes.

Thinking of what happened last night when Tang Zheng confronted her, Lin Nuan couldn’t sit still. She briefly told Bai Xiaonian the events of last night and left out the kiss that took place in their bathroom at their place later that evening. She just said Fu Huai’an went upstairs to use the toilet and gave her a bracelet when he left.

“Then towards Fu Huai’an… what do you feel?” Bai Xiaonian asked.

Lin Nuan didn’t hide her feelings since her close friend of many years had asked directly. “I don’t know. My heart is messed up. He himself said I wasn’t breaking any promise for not marrying him. I should keep a clear boundary between us, but the more I try, the more complicated it gets.”
