“Greetings, Master!” Ou Yezi immediately bowed as soon as the figure appeared.

“Greetings, Master!” Jiang Fei copied Ou Yezi’s behavior and bowed respectfully.

“Alright! There’s no need. Ou Yezi, why have you summoned me?” The figure asked. Jiang Fei intentionally peeked at the figure.

Jiang Fei could see Lu Fu’s name above the figure. However, he was unable to see any other attribute. Even with the help of Jiang Fei’s mysterious ring, he could not find any other information.

“Master, I have summoned you because of my disciple…” Ou Yezi started explaining Jiang Fei’s situation to Lu Fu.

“I see! Verdure Glider, do you really have the Will of the Heavens?” Lu Fu asked Jiang Fei solemnly.

“Yes, Master. I have the Will of the Heavens!” Jiang Fei replied honestly.

“Alright!” Lu Fu nodded approvingly as he continued speaking. “If that’s the case, I will fulfill your request!”

“Thank you, Master!” Jiang Fei immediately thanked him.

“However, you are about to take on a very difficult challenge from the ancient era. I am afraid you might not be up for it,” Lu Fu said with a frown.

“Master, I am willing to give it a try!” Although Ou Yezi and Lu Fu had both mentioned that Jiang Fei was taking on a very difficult Challenge Quest against an Overlord of the High Humans, Jiang Fei did not have any other choice.

“If that’s the case, then please help me in hunting down Huang Xie! Bring his Soul Mark back to me, and I will grant you the status of Overlord!” Lu Fu said.

“Ding! Lu Fu has issued you a Tier Challenge Quest: Defeat the Villain! Do you accept?”

“I won’t let you down!” Jiang Fei immediately accepted the quest despite not having any idea who Huang Xie was.

“Alright! If there’s nothing else, I need to rest!” Lu Fu waved his hand. After all, he was only a strand of consciousness. It cost him a lot of energy to manifest his figure before Jiang Fei and Ou Yezi.

“Please have a good rest!” Ou Yezi immediately bowed respectfully.

“Please have a good rest!” Jiang Fei did the same. After all, he had already accepted the quest. He could ask Ou Yezi if he had any questions.

Shuffle! A white light flashed as Lu Fu disappeared.

“Alright! Little Fei, let’s go!” Ou Yezi said as he brought Jiang Fei out of the big palace.

“Master, who is this Huang Xie?” Jiang Fei asked after they had exited the big palace.

“Ah! He is my fourth younger brother, and also one of the Four Sages of the Heavens. He used to possess the Commanding Cauldron!” Ou Yezi said with a sigh.

“Ahh?!” Jiang Fei was stunned. He was being tasked to kill one of the previous Four Sages of the Heavens. This was a suicide mission.

“Don’t look so surprised. Our master would not give you an impossible quest!” Ou Yezi stared at Jiang Fei as he continued speaking. “Huang Xie was already killed by our master. He is now in a weak spirit state and has at most an Intermediate Overlord’s capabilities.”

“Whew… That’s a relief!” Jiang Fei sighed in relief. Although an Intermediate Overlord in the ancient era was the equivalent of an Advanced Overlord these days, the opponent was at least not as strong as the Four Sages of the Heavens.

“If he is one of the Four Sages of the Heavens, shouldn’t you all be together? Why was he killed by the master?” Jiang Fei asked curiously. The Commanding Cauldron Jiang Fei now possessed was probably given to him by Prince Wu Geng after he had killed Huang Xie.

“Ah! It’s all because of greed!” Ou Yezi sighed. He then looked at Jiang Fei skeptically for a very long time before deciding to reveal the secret to Jiang Fei.

It seemed that Huang Xie had committed a severe crime which had deadly consequences. Initially, during the War of the Heavens, the Human race was very strong. Even after King Zhou of Shang was assassinated, Prince Wu Geng still led a huge army of humans and together they were virtually undefeatable. Although it might have been the Primordial Celestial’s plan of baiting the humans, the Human race was still very much empowered by their victories.

However, there was an issue amongst the Human race–Prince Wu Geng did not have an offspring. A leader without an offspring was a serious problem that could not be solved from outside to the High Humans .

However, right then, one of the Four Sages of the Heavens came up with a bad idea. He first married a beautiful lady. After the lady had become pregnant, he then gifted her to Prince Wu Geng.

After that, the beautiful lady gave birth to a child. Prince Wu Geng became overjoyed as he did not know the truth. He eventually made the beautiful lady his queen and even her child as his successor. Everything had gone according to Huang Xie’s plan.

However, the secret was eventually revealed. In the end, Huang Xie insisted that he did not have any personal agenda. He did what he had to do for the Human race’s sake as the king needed to have an offspring. However, he was killed by the infuriated Prince Wu Geng and even the queen and her son were both secretly executed.

However, as Huang Xie was one of the Four Sages of the Heavens, he was extraordinarily powerful. Although he was killed, his remnant soul managed to escape. Despite Prince Wu Geng’s intention of chasing after him, the prince himself was faced with urgent matters of war and was eventually killed in a battle. Only a strand of Prince Wu Geng’s consciousness remained.

Even after Prince Wu Geng had become Lu Fu, he had not forgotten about his hatred toward Huang Xie. Therefore, when Jiang Fei came to accept his Tier Challenge Quest, Lu Fu decided to entrust him with the task of killing Huang Xie’s remnant spirit.

“Holy crap… This Huang Xie went too far. How dare he trick the master in such a way?” Jiang Fei was stunned by what he heard. Why would anyone do something so ridiculous?

“Men have always been a victim of their own greed. It’s difficult to resist the temptation of such great power over the High Humans… However, Huang Xie’s explanation might have been true. After all, the High Humans were greatly encouraged by the news of the master acquiring a son. They were even able to conquer more than thirty Primordial Celestial cities after that!” Ou Yezi shook his head and sighed. Only Huang Xie himself would know the truth behind his own motivation and behavior.

“Teacher, do you know where Huang Xie is located?” Jiang Fei asked. He did not care about what motives Huang Xie had. Killing him was the only way Jiang Fei could acquire the Overlord status.

“He is hiding in the deeper parts of the Endless Seas. You can ask Poseidon about it. He should know,” Ou Yezi said. After the War of the Heavens, the Celestial race and the Human race were separated by a seal. All lands belonged to the High Humans. Huang Xie could only hide in the depths of the sea.

“Alright! I understand!” Jiang Fei nodded. He then said to Ou Yezi cheekily, “Teacher, could you give me something to protect myself? Something like the Heavenly Thunder!”

“Hehe, silly kid. Huang Xie is no longer a Celestial. You can’t kill him even if you had the Heavenly Thunder!” Ou Yezi laughed.

“Then you can perhaps give me something else!” Jiang Fei laughed shamelessly.

“If you had asked me before you accepted the quest, I would have been able to give you something to help you out. However, I can’t do that now. You have already accepted the quest, and you must complete it on your own. If I assist you now, your quest will fail immediately!” Ou Yezi laughed as he said.
