The two magic attacks landed but immediately dispersed into nothing when it made contact with the shell. As such, the boss’s skill “Spinning Charge” was activated and the Dark Tortoise started to spin like a motor and charged toward Jiang Fei.

The Dark Tortoise did not stop there as it spun around randomly and attacked the other players. Jiang Fei was hit a total of eight times while the others had taken three to five hits.

“SUMMER! HEAL! HEAL EVERYONE!” cried Jiang Fei as loud as he can. Spinning Charge was not the one that Jiang Fei was scared of, it was the next skill that he feared. If it was forced to use Swallow, that player will be removed from the battlefield for five seconds. Without sight, Gale Eversummer could not heal him. And if he had less than 5,000 health points, he would be killed and the boss will ingest it and restore 50% of its health points.

Everyone immediately received regeneration and restored 2,000 health points per second. The speed of its healing was far greater than the boss’s damage. In no time at all, everyone had full health.

Just then, the Dark Tortoise stopped spinning and reached its long head out and swallowed Little Rain whole! It all happened so fast that Gale Eversummer shrieked. However, the good news was that everyone in the party had full health. Even though Little Rain was swallowed, all the damage he would take was 5,000 and also the fact that he unable to attack for five seconds. When the boss swallowed Little Rain, it stopped moving as if it was trying its best to digest him.

“HIT IT!” cried Jiang Fei as he charged forward to attack.

Five seconds later, the Dark Tortoise opened its massive jaw and vomited Little Rain. Although he had little health points left, at least he was not dead. With a quick healing spell, Eversummer restored Little Rain’s health back to full.

When the Dark Tortoise had failed to properly swallow Little Rain, it seemed to be out of energy as it was just lying there, attacking every once in a while. This time, no one dared to lower their guards especially since they had already tasted how the boss would react when it suddenly hid inside its shell.

With a little focus, everyone was not careless anymore. The boss had hidden inside its shell twice and no one had attacked the boss then.

After five minutes, the boss battle was finally over. Seven Star Warrior was undoubtedly the MVP of the party as most of the damage dealt to the boss came from him. At the end of the fight, when the boss had repeatedly use Defense Up, Isabella could not even break the defense.

As such, Isabella’s aggro held on the boss was broken and Seven Star Warrior took the baton. However, since the boss attack was not impressive, he had tanked from the moment Isabella lost the hold, all the way until the boss’s demise.

“Not bad kid! Looks like you can handle a boss alone!” said Jiang Fei as he smiled.

“You’re exaggerating. This boss is weak to be fair. All it has was its high defense. Nothing else. That’s why I could deal high damage!” said Seven Star Warrior as he humbly rejected Jiang Fei’s praise.

“Hey! What are you two guys praising each other for? Open the corpse! We are still continuing the dungeon!” cried Gale Eversummer as she puffed her cheeks. Based on the previous mythological beasts drop, the Dark Tortoise drop would surely contain a Plate Armor Recipe. That made gale Eversummer, who still had not received anything, hope on the last boss.

“Keep calm!” said Jiang Fei as he laughed.

Requirement: Level 5 Blacksmith

It was as everyone predicted, the boss had dropped an Equipment Set Recipe.

Equipment Effect (5/7): Increases damage by 5% and damage reduction by 10% when you are facing the enemy.

Equipment Effect (7/7): Summons the spirit of the Dark Tortoise. Increase 50% Defense and maximum health points by 10,000. Last for thirty seconds. Four hours cool down time.

“WOOOAHH! This equipment set effect is super tank!” cried Jiang Fe as he had mixed feelings about it.

This equipment set could be deemed as good defense. Be it physical or magical defense, this Plate Armor set was surely as tough as steel.

255 Vitality points were so much that it exceeded a Level 30 full set of Violet-grade equipment. 177 Strength points were also good enough to increase a tank’s damage output. Extremely useful for generating aggro on monsters. Sadly, the negative movement speed effect was a little discouraging. However, in case of emergency, a tank player could still use Charge or Intercept to rescue someone. This sort of instant move skill was unaffected by movement speed hence it should not be too much of a burden.

Most importantly, the three equipment set effect was the bomb. A tank would be an indestructible wall.

The reason why Jiang Fei had mixed feelings about this equipment set was because he had already given up on becoming a tank. Even if he had the best grade of the Dark Tortoise’s Downfall, he would have about the same Defense as Isabella. That would be the only benefit. As for attack and health points, he would be the same as any other common player. Might as well find an equipment set that could increase his attack.

“I think this equipment set would be very useful to a future Level 40 tank! I’d say, it is a piece of must-have equipment for any sub tank who wants to do a dungeon run. The minimum requirement must be a set of Green grade ones, otherwise the entire party canot proceed in the Level 40 dungeon!” said Seven Star Warrior.

The most probable reason why a Level 40 set equipment was so strong was perhaps to accommodate players to the difficulty of Level 40 dungeon. In order to tackle the dungeon, they would have to obtain stronger equipment. Or else, they would have to grind their way up and tackle the dungeon again with their level advantage.

“You’re just thinking too much!” said Jiang Fei as he shook his head.

“Huh? Am I wrong about it?” said Seven Star Warrior, confused.

“Did you forget what we are in right now? It’s a Secret Dungeon! This dungeon’s difficulty is the same as a Heroic difficulty dungeon! Who cares about other Level 40 dungeon when they have this equipment set! I think that these four equipment recipe was to prepare players for future harder dungeons! You’re wrong about only one thing. Not sub tanks, but main tanks! The main tank should be the one who must have at least a set of Green-grade Dark Tortoise’s Downfall!” Said Jiang Fei.

From what Jiang Fei had understood, a Blue-grade Recipe would normally produce Green-grade equipment. Or as the system had deemed it that way.
