MMORPG: The Almighty Ring Chapter 260 – Enhanced Leader Boss!

Jiang Fei and Isabella cleared the other monsters that came into their path. Very soon, the fourth boss which was the final boss in the Elite mode of this Dungeon had appeared in front of them!

Skills: Speed Slash, Heavy Cleave, Blood Vortex, Sudden Attack, Blade Storm!

Blade Storm: Spins around and deals powerful damage to all targets around the General. Lasts for 10 seconds. Increases Movement Speed by 50% during the entire duration of the skill.

Speed Slash: The Bloodborne High General gives three quick slashes, causing normal Attack Damage!

Heavy Cleave: Immediately attacks a target, dealing a lot of damage.

Blood Vortex: Summons a Blood Vortex. Reduce Movement Speed by 20% and deals 1,000 damage per second to all targets inside the Vortex.

Sudden Attack: If a target has been immobilized in the Blood Vortex, the Bloodborne High General jumps to that target, kills the target and restores 10% of his Health Points!

Blade Storm: The Bloodborne High General quickly spins around and swings his own weapon, causing a lot of damage to nearby targets. Lasts for 10 seconds and increases the Movement Speed of the Bloodborne High General by 50% for the duration of the skill!

“F*ck! Even a boss can be enhanced! They’re strengthening the boss yet weakening them. What is this system trying to do?” Jiang Fei gazed speechlessly at the boss.

Original Leader bosses had been weakened in the new version. Yet, before him, this boss had been strengthened. Enhanced bosses would not only experience an increase in their offensive and defensive attributes, but also enhanced versions of their skills.

When small monsters were enhanced, only their attributes would increase. This was because most monsters had no skills, so their enhancements would not be very apparent. However, bosses were different. The skills that had finally been weakened by the system would regain or sometimes surpass their former strength. Even though the difficulty of this Dungeon had reduced, as it was still the most difficult Heroic mode Dungeon in the game thus far. It had not been weakened down to the point where a casually organized random party would be able to clear it!

“Be more careful with this boss!”

Jiang Fei just had a feeling that this boss would not be as easy as the previous three. With these enhancements, this boss would at least be as strong as the third boss in the older version!

“Okay!” Isabella nodded.

When the battle started, Jiang Fei used Jumping Slash and landed beside the boss. Then, he used Bash!

As Jiang Fei was ignoring the boss’s Defense attributes, he was dealing a lot of damage. Each attack dealt as much as 5,500 damage, and the lethality of his normal attacks was similar to that of Isabella’s Abyssal Flame!

However, one had to know that Isabella’s Abyssal Flame had a short casting time, but still took 1.5 seconds. In contrast, Jiang Fei’s normal attacks only took around 0.7 seconds each. So, Jiang Fei’s damage output at this time was nearly double of Isabella’s!

At that moment, Jiang Fei was dealing more than 9,000 damage per second, and he was getting 6,000 Health Points per second from his Lifesteal. In less than ten seconds, the boss’s Health Points had fallen by 20%, and Jiang Fei’s Health Points were back to full!

*Roar* Jiang Fei’s attacks were making the boss mad!

“Oh f*ck! In this case, the other parties will never be clearing this Heroic Dungeon anytime soon!” Jiang Fei thought to himself while he attacked.

One had to know that Jiang Fei’s Physical Damage Reduction was now as high as 50%. If one skill by the boss could take away 20,000 of his Health Points, wouldn’t the same skill take away 30,000 Health Points when it came to other Tanks?

Would other Level 30 Tanks have so much Health Points? Even a Second Job Level 35 pure Physical Defense Warrior barely had over 20,000 Health Points, at most. This also took the Warrior’s equipment into consideration. So, nobody could possibly withstand this boss’s attack!

Jiang Fei grew worried. Currently, as he was already Level 39, he did not feel like the boss was of a high level. However, the highest-leveled player amongst the other was only Level 33. Most of the other players had just reached Level 30. As this boss was nearly 10 levels above them, there was no way would they clear this difficulty level anytime soon.

So, when it came to why the other players had no intention of attempting the Heroic mode of this Dungeon, Jiang Fei had obviously misunderstood the situation. As he could easily get through the Dungeon with Isabella by his side, he had been led into believing that it would be fairly easy for the other players as well. However, he did consider the fact that his level was far higher and his equipment was far better than the average player. Moreover, Isabella alone probably matched over ten players!

“The power of blood is revolving around you!” Just as Jiang Fei lost his focus, the boss’s Health Points had dropped to 50%!

With a roar from the boss, a bloody vortex appeared at Isabella’s feet!

“Get out of there, quick!” Jiang Fei shouted loudly as he continued to attack. This particular skill combination of the boss was stupidly broken. If you did not move away in time and ended up getting trapped in the Vortex, the boss would directly go there and kill you instantly. It was an utterly unreasonable skill!

“Ah!” In the beginning, as the Blood Vortex did not deal much damage to her, Isabella had not been really bothered about it. By the time Jiang Fei shouted for her to move, it was already too late for her to escape!
