MMO: Pierce Heaven Til’ It Breaks 610 Plotline Death

In almost every game, there lived many powerful, unimaginable, unfathomable, and indestructible super bosses.

No matter the method, whether it was pushing the boss down a flight of stairs or crushing to smithereens, the boss would rise from the dead, repeatedly, endlessly…

Players were unable to vanquish them but there was a way to eliminate this indestructible super boss.

Plotline Death!

After the players have escaped the jaws of death and drained the super boss’ HP dry, the super boss will suddenly let out a loud roar, fully recovering its HP and boosting its strength multiple times, creating an uneven playing field for the players.

What to do then? Under normal circumstances, in the face of the super boss’s overpowering strength boost, the players would not stand a chance. Hence, a character destined to get the kill would make his appearance…

Normally, the System would arrange for a significant NPC to recite some lines and take a gentle swing of his blade, eliminating the super boss who the players could never kill.

Yelling to the sky, Moigne pierced his blade through the ghostly soul.

“No… That’s impossible. I am the Soul King. My soul is undying. How can you harm me? I… I refuse to believe it!” The Soul King’s soul contorted and shrieked in pain.

Li Yi and the rest watched with their jaw dropped. There were some players who tried to attack the Soul King, but they soon realized that they had entered a Non-attackable State.

With the Plotline Death in effect, the players were only left with the ability to walk around…

“Wandering souls, come forth! Infuse my body and become my strength!”

The Soul King let out an immense cry, prompting millions of Soul Power to flow into its body from all directions…

The Soul Power came from the deaths of players in Land of Choice. The higher the fatality rate of the players, the more powerful the Soul King would become!

Several million Soul Power infused the Soul King’s soul. As its soul expanded rapidly, an irresistible pressure emanated from its body, leaving the Iron Alliance players motionless.

This was not the strength of a Demigod but the divine might of a true God!

In the face of the devastating divine might of a true God, a mortal’s ability meant nothing.

Great Lord Moigne gazed at his Common Iron Blade (Author’s Note: A common off-the-rack sword of regular attributes that could be found just anywhere) as it inched out of the Soul King’s body, gasping, “What… What’s going on? Why can’t I move?”

At that moment, the Soul King had absorbed millions of Soul Power, becoming a God!

“Hahahaha, Gods on Mount Pantheon, feast your eyes. It’s not just your Pantheon that has divine powers. I… have them too!”

The Soul King let out a roar of laughter that shook the ground. With its power rising steeply by thousand folds, a single lift of its finger would annihilate the Iron Alliance’s entire party.

“To a God, everything is a feeble bug. You lowly bugs dare challenge the power of God? This will be your last. By God’s Order, Strip Lives!”

The Soul King lightly swept its arm, and all members of the Iron Alliance fell to the ground.

A TPK from one attack that ignored everything and had no chance of survival. This was the super boss’ reaction to a Plotline Death…

“No, Holy Light above, no!”

Wrapping his hands around his head and yelling, Great Lord Moigne suddenly went out of his mind. However, just as his Common Iron Blade was almost forced out of the Soul King’s body, he regained consciousness and clutched his blade with both hands to force it back in.

While impervious to divine weapons, the Soul King was once again hurt by Great Lord Moigne’s Common Iron Blade. Opening its mouth to release several hundred Soul Power, its gigantic body began to shrink.

“Die!”

The Soul King seized Moigne by the throat, lifting Moigne off the ground yet the latter did not release his grip, driving his Common Iron Blade deeper using both hands.

Howling, the Soul King opened its mouth for several hundred Soul Power to scatter.

“I have not fully fused with the Soul Power. Damn Paladin, why must you pester me?”

“For justice, for peace in the land, for the home of our people, Holy Light above, grant me power!”

It was hard to imagine that Great Lord Moigne whose neck was crushed, would still have the energy to force the Common Iron Blade in, and the supergod King of Souls focused on tightening its grip rather than pulling out the sword…

In the awesome state of Plotline Death, Moigne, who was not blessed with Holy Light nor protection, his neck crushed by the Soul King and his feet off the ground for more than five minutes, was still full of energy, showing no sign of defeat…

The Soul King, in contrast, was in a horrible state. With the absorbed Soul Power leaking, it could not do anything apart from strangling Moigne.

“Holy Light, grant me power!”

“Holy Light, grant me power!”

“Holy Light, grant me power!”

Moigne kept yelling but the golden Holy Light never descended upon him. No matter how he ripped his lungs screaming, there was no sign of it.

“Even if I am incapable of utilizing Holy Light currently, I will forever protect it. The Holy Light is my strength, my life. I will sacrifice my all to the Holy Light!”

Moigne took a vow as he ruthlessly forced Common Iron Blade into the Soul King’s body with both hands, piercing through completely…

“No… No… No…”

Letting go of Moigne, The Soul King wrapped its arms over its head. Countless souls swarmed out of its body, deflating and shrinking its body rapidly.

Moigne had one knee on the ground, gasping for air as he fixated his gaze on the Soul King. He then turned to look at the dead players. Suddenly, a pillar of Holy Light descended from the sky, engulfing his body.

“This… is the power of the Holy Light. The Holy Light did not abandon me. My Holy Light has returned. My powers have been restored!”

Moigne cried out with joy. With both his palms emitting Holy Light, he tossed it to the air.

“Humm humm humm humm humm…”

With the sounds of a Holy Light hymn, countess Holy Light angels descended from the sky and entered the players’ corpse.

This was Moigne’s speciality, Group Resurrection.

With that, all 25 party members rose. A super boss may be terrifying but was nothing compared to an NPC proficient in Plotline Death.

“Heroes, follow me to battle!”

Moigne released another round of Holy Light, providing a beneficial buff, Holy Light’s Gift to the party. In a short span of time, all attributes would limitlessly increase…

“F*ck me, I’ve got 280 million HP…” A Wizard exclaimed.

“I have a billion…” A Sky Vagabond shouted out loud.

“I have more than 5 billion,” Brother Windcloud Nine was being modest.

With all their attributes increasing limitlessly, though temporary, defeating the super boss was like using a sledgehammer on a nut.

Plotline Death sure lived up to its name!

What was considered turning the tables? Now, this was turning the tables!

“Overlord Arrow!”

“Explosive Projectile!”

“Bang! Bang!”

A random strike was worth millions in damage. At this very instant, all members finally experienced what was like to be at the top…

Covering its head with its arms, the Soul King persevered even in the face of the players’ attack. Then, it roared and with a swing of its arm, “By God’s Order, Strip Lives!”

The players crumbled but in just 3 seconds, Moigne waved his arm to have Holy Light angels descend, raising and blessing everyone.

“God… Moigne…”

The party members looked at the powerful Moigne, speechless yet intrigued. What was awesome? This was truly awesome. He could single-handedly kill the boss, yet he chose not to and left it to the players. He stood by watching everything play out and when the players died, he unleashed Group Resurrection…

“Strip Lives!” the Soul King swung its arm.

“Holy Light’s Gift! Group Resurrection!” Moigne raised both arms.

“Strip Lives…”

“Holy…”

Death, resurrection, death, resurrection, death, resurrection…

Li Yi could not keep count of the number of times they were wiped out and then stood up again without a care in the world. He only paid attention to the Soul King’s HP as it dropped from 100% all the way down to 1%.

When the Soul King swung its arm for another Strip Lives, the players did not collapse this time. Nothing happened to them and they found themselves alive and well.

“I am not a God and unable to wielding divine powers for long. Paladin, why did you stop me? I won’t… resign myself to this fate.”

King of Souls pointed at Moigne and shouted.

“Evil monster, for destroying the world, the only outcome for you is death. Now, I will personally end you. Holy Light, grant me power!”

Moigne leaped up high and slashed at the Soul King.

The Soul King was split in half by Moigne, vanishing into thin air without breathing his last words.

“My child, did you see that? The Holy Light did not abandon me, my child…” Moigne gazed into the sky and mumbled.

After a long while, Moigne raised the blade in his hand high and shouted, “Heroes, victory is ours…”
