According to the official introduction, the Baseball Elder had been undefeated by murlocs ever since it had been transformed by the Vile King. It had not lost even once in several decades, making it the number one powerhouse in rock-paper-scissors among the murlocs.

If the player controlled Goska and attacked the Baseball Elder, the Baseball Elder would fly into a rage and give up on rock-paper-scissors. It would then devolve into a regular boss fight.

Under normal circumstances, the Baseball Elder was no weaker than the Vile King. If he had party members to work with him, Li Yi was confident that he could defeat him. However, he was currently alone, so it was still better to play rock-paper-scissors with him.

“Rock!” Li Yi stretched his hand out extremely early.

“Scissors!” howled the Baseball Elder as he held out his claw.

The steady cycle began anew. Since the Baseball Elder had thrown a tantrum and forced one win, he calmed down once more and returned to his regular rhythm.

When the Baseball Elder used Mind Control, he would leap onto Goska’s body to avoid it. After that, he would jump down and deal damage. In every bout of rock-paper-scissors, he would use rock. Compared to the other four murloc bosses, the strongest murloc, the Baseball Elder, also happened to be the easiest to beat.

“I hate rock…” The Baseball Elder’s HP fell to zero. He roared once, unwilling to admit defeat, and then fell to his knees with a loud thump.

Li Yi finished off the Baseball Elder without losing a single drop of HP. Goska also had 500,000+ HP left, which was enough for him to go for the final boss fight.

The Little Murloc, Rudderman, jumped out of nowhere again. As usual, he asked Li Yi if he wanted to shatter the Magic Crystal that the Baseball Elder had been guarding.

Compared to the first four Magic Crystals, the Magic Crystal under the Baseball Elder’s care was the most useful. Upon shattering it, the player would obtain a shared cooldown skill called Mind Shock that could be used by any member of the party. This skill could be used every 30 seconds to interrupt the Vile King’s skills and stun him for 10 seconds.

The effects of the Magic Crystal entrusted to the Baseball Elder, but Li Yi’s aim was to go for the Hell-level dungeon difficulty, so of course, he could not shatter this crystal.

The Vile King’s original form was a crystal that gained sentience after being modified by the people of Atlantis. However, it had absorbed too many evil thoughts. In order to obtain more power, it absorbed all of the energy sustaining the city of Atlantis and caused it to sink.

Just like most of the evil entities King of Pantheon, the Vile King had one goal, and that was to evolve constantly until it eventually became a god.

Controlling Goska, Li Yi arrived at the dungeon entrance. He could see a mirror roaring furiously from far away.

“My loyal murloc subjects, why haven’t you come out to welcome me?”

The Vile King did not transform. Its true form was a square crystal mirror that was about 1 meter long and 1 meter wide. Its front surface could still reflect others like a normal mirror, whereas an ancient Atlantean word was engraved into its pitch-black back. It read: Loktar!

Never underestimate this mirror. When the official site announced the list of all the items this dungeon could drop, the players immediately lost their minds. They came here in waves, all trying to defeat the Vile King.

However, after the players went through hell just to defeat the five murloc bosses, every single one of them fell in front of this little mirror.

The players had given it a fancy title—the Gold Coin Recycling Machine.

It was a cycle of infinite annihilation and repair. Some parties kept losing over more than a year. They had leveled up from Level 55 all the way to Level 80, and yet they still could not defeat the Vile King.

The Vile King was recognized by all the players as one of the most overpowered bosses.

The Vile King had 30,000,00HP and extremely complicated attack patterns. It was also good at using all sorts of instant-kill skills, so one misstep tended to end up with the whole party getting wiped out.

Li Yi made Goska rush forth. The Vile King’s mirror surface flashed and instantly locked onto Li Yi. With a “whoosh”, a ray of white light shot out of the surface of the mirror, penetrating Goska’s chest accurately.

Goska did not lose HP directly, but his entire body became pitch black. Just then, he had an extra debuff, Vile Loyalist.

The name above Goska’s head turned red and it reached out his hand to grab Li Yi, who was on his shoulder.

He turned around to look at the big ol’ Goska again. He was currently standing in front of the Vile King like a majestic guard, having essentially become the Vile King’s accomplice.

When fighting the Vile King, he always had to be wary of the Black Light of Betrayal, regardless of whether Goska was present. No matter who it was, once they were hit by that light, they would immediately become its slave and help the Vile King by attacking their own allies. If there was only one member left in the party, getting hit by this move meant game over.

This skill could not be dispelled once it landed. The only way to get around it was to predict its direction and avoid it.

It was not that Li Yi could not predict or dodge it. The problem was Goska’s IQ kept plummeting every second it faced off against the Vile King. This affected its response speed, so even if Li Yi correctly predicted it, the big doofus would still be a few seconds too late to avoid it due to the terror it held in its heart.

The Mislead-Pseudocide combination failed, and the Vile King joined the battle.

Thank goodness for the ultimate move, Camouflage. Without it, Li Yi would already have died twice.

He waited for the skill to complete its cooldown, and then Li Yi gave it another shot.

The Vile King had a very wide field of vision. Every time Li Yi used Mislead on Goska, he would inevitably pull the Vile King as well. Thanks to the ultimate move, Camouflage, however, he managed to break away from battle every time.

Li Yi’s Mislead was not completely useless, though. Each time, he managed to lure Goska one step closer to him. After a dozen attempts, he finally managed to create a distance between Goska and the Vile King.

Li Yi estimated the distance and then used Mislead on Goska as well, before using Pseudocide on himself.

“Awoo—Goska really hates shorties.”

Goska ran toward him in large strides, but behind him, the Vile King did not join the battle.

He finally did it!

Li Yi was overjoyed. When Goska was almost by his side, he crawled up from the ground and used the Magic Crystal to control it.

“Awoo—Goska’s really strong!”

The name above Goska’s head turned from red to green, and it became Li Yi’s ally once more.

It was finally settled!

Li Yi heaved a long sigh.

…This seems to be the reasoning behind the Baseball Elder’s name. Baseball Fist in Japanese is yakyuuken, a Japanese game based on rock-paper-scissors.
