It was a gloomy, rainy day.

Elder Fu’s funeral had just ended.

Outside the mourning hall, Su Yu stood in the rain without an umbrella, the rain flowing down her hair.

“Su Yu, you killed grandpa. The evidence is clear. Why are you acting all sad now?”

Chu Yaoyao, who could barely be considered a relative of the Fu family, was looking mournful.

A servant held an umbrella for her as she pointed at Su Yu.

Su Yu sneered but did not respond.

Chu Xiangzhu slowly approached and slapped her in the face. She said, “Grandfather’s medicine was changed. Before he died, you were the only one who went to his bedroom. What else do you have to say?”

The rain fell on Su Yu’s swollen face and intensified the pain. However, she glared at Chu Xiangzhu coldly and did not bother to explain.

“I didn’t kill him.”

She had been married to Fu Yunian for five years and had tried her best, but the Fu family still did not like her.

“A short-sighted woman from a remote village. Do you think that you can inherit the Fu family’s fortune just because Elder Fu is gone?”

The criticism around her was harsh, but all Su Yu could think about was Fu Yunian’s words!

She endured the pain in her heart,

“All these years, I’ve been taking care of the family. I’ve handled all the affairs of the company in an orderly manner. How could I kill grandfather for money?”

For him, she gave up everything to marry into the Fu family and worked like a servant for 5 years. But, she still couldn’t gain any trust from him.

He actually thought that she killed Elder Fu for the family fortune!

Su Yu gritted her teeth and called out the name with a trembling voice. She placed her hands on the floor and refused to lower her head.

Her husband, whom she had treated with all her heart, was now standing on the same side as everyone else and blaming her.

She had stayed by his side for 5 years because of love.

The police arrived and rushed in. Chu Yaoyao pointed at Su Yu, “She’s the murderer! Arrest her!”

When the police were about to grab Su Yu, she continued to defend herself and looked at Fu Yunian earnestly.

“I didn’t kill grandfather. If you give me some time, I will prove my innocence!”

But, to her surprise, Fu Yunian did not respond. He simply stood up and left.

As soon as she arrived at the detention center, two female prisoners approached her with smiles on their faces.

“Miss Chu told us to take good care of you!”

Chu Yaoyao just couldn’t wait.

Su Yu sneered but did not move, her eyes dark and cold as she sat there and waited.

But, before the two female prisoners could do anything, the police officers stopped them.

Afterwards, Su Yu was called to the infirmary.

She sat in her chair calmly as the doctor in front of her tapped on the medical report, “You’re pregnant.”

Immediately, Su Yu’s body trembled as she subconsciously placed her hand on her stomach.

She was pregnant… with Fu Yunian’s child!

Even until his death, Elder Fu had always wanted to have a grandchild.

For the child’s sake, would Fu Yunian trust her a little?
