A huge, blood-red list of names suddenly appeared high up in the sky above the mountain range.

“Your current ranking will be displayed on this list based on how many venomous bugs you’ve killed. The list will be kept up to date in real time, so that you all will be able to know your rankings.” The mighty voice continued, “Then…the God Palace’s Battle begins now!”

The instant he finished his announcement, a huge amount of power surged through each of the mountains in the mountain range, causing them to faintly tremor.

Xue Ying and the other two experts turned to stare at what was happening in the mountain range they were in. The only thing they could see was violet fog rapidly condensing into a violet venomous bug that was about the size of a millstone in one of the caves. It had a tough outer shell and a pair of compound eyes that it swept over its surroundings with. Afterward, its wings fluttered, and it disappeared from its original position.

Three starry-blue robed Xue Yings and a thin, small swordsman simultaneously appeared. An arrow also tore through as it flew through space in their direction.

All three of them had thrown themselves toward the bug!

The arrow had still torn through the empty void, however; thus when it struck the violet venomous bug that was situated over five hundred kilometers away in the void, it had been forced back into the real world. Its collision with the bug’s outer shell caused slight cracks to appear, which gradually began to recover after a moment.

“What a formidable venomous bug.” Xue Ying, the thin swordsman, and the enormous hunk who’d shot the arrow were all inwardly startled to see this.

The enormous hunk was known as Guo Xie and had been ranked 19 during the Bamboo Mountain Prefecture’s survival battle. His arrow techniques were thus extremely powerful. Even though that shot hadn’t been a desperate killing blow, it had still been quite formidable. Yet, it had only left a few cracks on the venomous bug’s outer shell.

All three Xue Yings disappeared simultaneously and then reappeared next to the violet venomous bug. All three of his spears were imbued with the destructive might of Chaotic Suppression using the Great Chaotic True Force as they swung toward the bug. As his spear swung through the air, nearby space began to crumble apart. The venomous insect intended to pierce through the void in order to escape, yet it was to no avail. Its only choice was to face this Xue Ying’s terrifying attack head-on.

Peng, peng, peng~ At times, a spear would collide with the venomous bugs’ claws as it swept across its abdomen. Other times, a spear would slam into its shell, which caused the venomous bug to let out an agonized screech that reverberated in all directions. When this happened, it made Xue Ying’s three mirage bodies all feel a sharp pain in their ears as dizzy spells hit them. Fortunately, his Time Immemorial Body was able to completely resist against the sound.

Si la! A terrifying beam of sword light suddenly appeared from the side and pierced into the venomous bug’s head, though it was only able to pierce halfway through. However, the thin swordsman immediately retreated afterward, as the three Xue Yings had lashed their spears at him!

“He retreated really fast.” The three Xue Yings glanced at him and then continued their attack on the bug.

“This Dong Bo truly is quite formidable, while that venomous bug is quite tough to kill. It’ll be tough for us to try and kill that bug right under his nose.” The thin swordsman frowned as he mused from afar.

His true body is able to hide in the mirage; thus, there’s no way for us to find it. As for the other three Xue Yings fighting, they’re nothing more than mirage bodies; let’s not think about killing them. Even if we did, it’d be useless, as he can immediately condense another when one dies.”

“Mn. It seems I have no way to kill that venomous bug,” the swordsman said before turning around and disappearing.

The enormous hunk, Guo Xie, wasn’t in a rush to run away however. Instead, he continued to watch from afar. He then raised his Deity-grade bow and notched three arrows.

The distant three Xue Yings were currently attacking the venomous bug together in a frenzied state. The venomous bug truly had a great amount of defense. Only after a full-out frenzied attack from Xue Ying did its shell begin to crumble and blood began to show on its body. It howled in pain as it continued to fight Xue Ying, but its chest suddenly shot out a venomous strike that was extremely fast and sudden. This strike pierced through one of his mirage bodies, which—despite its fearlessness and strength—easily dissipated only to recondense after expelling the strong venom.

“Now.” Guo Xie’s eyes suddenly brightened.

His three arrows were akin to three dazzling meteors and left three different projections as they pierced through the void and appeared around the violet venomous bug.

Dang, dang, dang. The three ‘Xue Ying’s used their their own bodies to absorb the continues attacks of the venomous bug in order to reach out and parry these three arrows! Considering Xue Ying’s level of control toward the mirage and toward space, and considering how mysterious his spear techniques were, it was hard for him not to block those three arrows.

The only reason that he and that thin swordsman had dared to try and steal this insect from Xue Ying was because of their relatively strong movement techniques.

Xue Ying continued to utilize several spear techniques in tandem with one another. He pierced and crushed the bug’s skull, yet the bug still didn’t die and continued to frenziedly retaliate.

When its shell finally broke apart completely, Xue Ying rapidly pierced its body with one of his spears, causing it to tremble violently before its body began to break apart. Only now did the venomous bug truly die.
