Lord Xue Ying Chapter 1268 – Memory Fragment

Furthermore, Xue Ying could vaguely feel ‘violence’ and ‘chaos’ over at the other region. Just by slightly extending his senses over and Xue Ying could feel the terrifying law affecting himself through this immense distance. As a result, Xue Ying suffered from a drop in strength.

“Have you felt it?” Supreme Vast Ancient said from the side: “That region is not an ordinary Origin World. It is impossible for an Origin World to influence our strength just by slightly perceiving it at such far distances. Furthermore, reaching our level, it is not useful to send us to other ordinary Origin Worlds for training. I suspect it should be some unique region within the Chaotic Origin Dimension.”

Xue Ying nodded after hearing it.

I have reached the grand perfection Emperor realm yet it might be possible for me to meet a rival?”

“This huge black rock seems to lead us to a bizarre region.”

“And we Supremes aren’t willing to take the last gamble unless we are desperate.” Supreme Vast Ancient said.

Xue Ying nodded.

“Once you are done with my task, you can come and investigate the place further. Let us continue our mission.” Supreme Vast Ancient chuckled.

“Let’s go.” Xue Ying smiled and accompanied the Supreme.

At the point when they were leaving, Xue Ying could not help but look around him once again. He saw the corpses from the two terrifying Chaotic Origin Lifeforms that made up Broken Tooth Mountain Range, and then he glanced at that huge black rock once again.

“Sou sou.”

The two of them exited this place.

Xue Ying went along with Supreme Vast Ancient and continued traveling along this consciousness region and into many other Light Ball Dimensions.

As Xue Ying accelerated forward in one of the vascular channels, there reached a point that he was forced to slow down.

“Hu hu hu.” A black gale could be heard whistling and blowing on them. Even though this black wind was not as frightening and violent as the black maelstrom located at the entrance of the Snake Tooth Corridor, it was still sufficiently corrosive and rapidly consumed the energy in the Snake-Tooth Bead that Xue Ying brought along. He disregarded the black wind, and instead chose to carry on. Nonetheless, the suppression from the Light Ball Dimension ahead of him was getting heavier endlessly.

The closer he got, the more frightful the pressure was.

“I can’t hold on any longer.”

Xue Ying felt spells of dizziness striking him. His consciousness was starting to blur and waves of pain struck his soul.

“Retreat!”

He could only transformed into a stream of light before rushing backwards. Only after he retreated to a certain distance did he finally feel the rapid weakening of the suppression. Xue Ying became much more relaxed after that.

“You are so close to it! Nonetheless, since even you Monarch Flying Snow can’t enter, who else could?” Supreme Vast Ancient shook his head.

“The suppression is too terrifying.” Xue Ying sighed. He was confident of his soul techniques, but he was still forced to retreat.

“Haha, let’s go to the next one.” Supreme Vast Ancient did not care about it. He continued bringing Xue Ying along.

Those that Supreme Vast Ancient could enter had been attempted long before.

And those dimensions that he was sending Xue Ying to were those that he could not enter currently. Which was why he decided to let Xue Ying attempt it.

Yet another Light Ball Dimension.

Even though the suppression coming off from this region was strong, Xue Ying felt delighted once he got closer to the origin of the dimension: ‘It seems to be much easier than the previous one? It is possible for me to enter!’

Indeed as he expected, even though the pressure was immensely huge near the origin of the crack, Xue Ying was still able to enter the Light Ball Dimension right before he reached his limit.

“Good!” Standing afar at a node, Supreme Vast Ancient revealed a joyous look when he saw that.

“Weng.”

Within the Light Ball Dimension.

After Xue Ying entered, he saw many crystalline ‘snowflakes’ floating about. With a glance, he could see that there were more than 100 million of such snowflakes floating within this Light Ball Dimension, causing the entire place to feel dreamy.

“This is?” Xue Ying immediately had his guesses, “”memory fragments?”

He had heard from Supreme Vast Ancient before, that some Light Ball Dimensions contained remnant pieces of memory fragments. These memory fragments within the consciousness were of varying types. And all memory fragments located within a Light Ball would be of the same category.

There were no dangers whatsoever within a memory fragment.

When that terrifying Chaotic Origin Lifeform fell, only the imprinted pieces of memory fragments were left behind.

“What is this?” Xue Ying extended his consciousness into one of the floating snowflakes.

At the moment his consciousness touched that snowflake, he felt ringing in his mind.

He ‘saw’ a huge snake. That huge snake was currently laying amidst the grayish Chaotic Origin Dimension. It was furiously hissing out in madness. Clearly, it was angry. At the next moment, this snake whipped its tail out, easily piercing it through trillions of dimensions. It felt as if a trillion incarnations of its tail had been condensed! And these snake tails numbering in the trillions pierced through an equivalent number of dimensions onto a similarly frightening existence.

That existence gave off a grand aura. An unseen force field of law surrounded him and interfered with that strike. Xue Ying could not see the appearance of the other party at all.

And then this memory fragment disappeared.

‘A battle?’ Xue Ying thought, ‘And it seems to be just a single move?’

He could see that this battle was happening in the Chaotic Origin Dimension. The Chaotic Origin Energy that was incredibly corrosive to him was just like air to that snake! A single strike by that snake had struck across so many dimensions! And that expert who was fighting with this snake, did not seem to be any weaker. Even if his strength was not at the standard of ‘Yuan’, it should not be too far away.

After that, Xue Ying continued with other memory fragments.

More than 100 million fragments…

Xue Ying consecutively perused through a hundred memory fragments, only to find out that they were all lashes from that snake tail. It was a technique that easily pierced through a trillion dimensions! This technique seemed to even strike at the enemy in the end.

‘Finally there seems to be a different memory.’ Xue Ying saw another piece of memory fragment. Within that memory fragment, the enormous snake was flying within the vast Primal Chaos Void. Xue Ying could see clearly how big its body was–seemingly longer than even an Origin World. Nonetheless, the area it occupied seemed smaller than an Origin World.

Only after watching through several million memory fragments did Xue Ying finally have an idea what they were.

There were a total of three types of fragments which he just saw. One was a piercing technique executed by the snake tail. Another type was of the snake flying. And the last type was a void-ified scene that formed behind the snake while it was sleeping. Every time it slept, it would completely void-ify its surroundings.

‘Even though there are more than a hundred million memory fragments, I casually chose just a few million memory fragments, and they all belonged to these three categories.’ Xue Ying thought, ‘And it is highly likely for all fragments to be just these three types.’

‘Unquestionably, these three types of memory fragments pertained to the Dao of Void.’ Xue Ying’s eyes brightened.

He was incredibly delighted.

It was normal for one to encounter memory fragments. Supreme Vast Ancient and the others had already experienced them before. But this was the first time Xue Ying encountered memory fragments, and they were actually memory fragments pertaining to the Dao of Void! Xue Ying was naturally excited.

The enormous snake was an innate Chaotic Origin Lifeform. Those techniques that it executed were all inborn techniques, albeit they had been executed to a certain extent by the enormous snake. Otherwise, it was not qualified to challenge ‘Yuan’. These three techniques gave Xue Ying a newfound direction of what it meant to be for his Dao of Void at the ‘Chaotic Origin level’. Strictly speaking, they were three different directions.

Like the <Chaotic Origin Seven Strikes>, they enabled Xue Ying to trace the void back to its roots––the Chaotic Origin Energy.

Or the supreme secret impartation that Emperor Summer grasped, <Void Blossom>, that was a life force nurturing technique that did not seem to be any weaker than the Chaotic Origin Energy.

Different directions would determine the energy control one would have.

‘I am still very far away from the Chaotic Origin level.’ Xue Ying was clear of this point. How difficult was it for a level-two Cosmos God to have a breakthrough into the final realm? How many difficulties had he broken through did he finally succeed?

And moving on from the final realm to the Chaotic Origin level…

Ever since the emergence of the Realm Heart Great Land, Undying Underworld Emperor, Emperor Summer, Limitless City Master, Ancestor Fan and many others failed to advance into a Chaotic Origin Lifeform. Like Xue Ying, his hometown Origin World had never seen anybody become a Chaotic Origin Lifeform either!

This was a step so difficult that it could not be imagined!

One had to have a firm determination and heart. One had to prepare himself and continue prodding forward without wavering.

Xue Ying stood within this Light Ball Dimension while condensing out another white-robed figure. One man had transformed into two.

‘I should be fine to leave an avatar here since I would not face any danger in this location. Hence, there is no need for this avatar to be protected by the energy of the Snake-Tooth Bead. By allowing this avatar to remain here, I can continue to examine these memory fragments. After which, the avatar carrying the Snake-Tooth Bead will leave this Light Ball Dimension and head to other places.’
