When she woke up the next morning, she had already been in bed, and she realized that he was collapsed before her computer, helping her finish her work. Since they were from different professions, it must have taken him a whole night of research to complete it.

Cheng Qingchong took in a deep breath to force a smile to her face before turning around to console him softly. “Don’t worry, I’m really fine.”

After getting her confirmation, Qin Yinan didn’t press. He smiled gently at her and added, “Okay then, I won’t disturb you any longer. Rest well.”

“Hmm.” Cheng Qingchong nodded. As Qin Yinan’s warm smile fell on her, she turned around in a hurry and dashed into her bedroom. Before closing the door, she peeked through the small sliver to see the man who was squatting on the floor, arranging his suitcase and preparing for his work tomorrow.

After closing the door, Cheng Qingchong felt the energy in her body leave her. She leaned against the door and gradually slid to the floor. She lowered her head to her knees, and the question of the baby once again clawed itself into her mind.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door behind her, and she stood up in a fluster to pull it open. Qin Yinan passed her a glass of warm milk, saying, “Here, it’ll help your sleep.”

Qin Yinan bade her “good night” as he raised his hand to help her close the door. Before the door completely closed, Qin Yinan added, “After you finish the milk, just leave it on the bedside table. I’ll clean it up tomorrow morning before I leave for work.

“Also, for these two days that I’m not in Beijing, if you don’t feel like cooking, you can go to my parent’s. If you feel that’ll be too awkward, call me, and I’ll have someone send food over.”
