He pushed open the door to find that there was a cavernous chamber on the other side. A pool of green liquid sat at the center of the room and was bubbling incessantly as the smell of corrosion permeated throughout the chamber.

“I accept,” An Lin replied.

The green liquid in the pool suddenly began to ripple and surge violently upon An Lin’s confirmation.

He was then treated to the sight of a green humanoid monster with feelers on its face rising slowly from the pool. It opened its mouth to reveal a set of sharp, menacing teeth and slowly spat forth a sinister, corrosive aura from its mouth.

“This is definitely an antagonist! It looks like a demon king, woof!” Da Bai wagged his tail as he donned his Chaotic Sky-Crushing Claws with a solemn expression.

“It looks like Piccolo.” An Lin nodded and remarked, “Too bad Xiao Chou isn’t here.” [1. Making a reference to the fact that Xiao Chou is based on the monkey king from Journey to the West, whose name is Son Goku, which is also the name of the Dragon Ball protagonist who fought the demon king, Piccolo.]

“Roar!” The green humanoid monster clutched at the air with both hands, and the green liquid in the pool rose into the air and transformed into a series of green pythons which pounced toward An Lin with a deadly, corrosive aura.

An Lin took a step forward and instantly disappeared on the spot.

The green pythons converged at his original location and exploded into a huge cloud of poisonous mist.

Right at this moment, ten blue saber projections tore through the poisonous mist and flew toward the green humanoid monster.
