I like them big, do you? Chapter 84: Business with the priestess

Reylin asked the last question before some fun, “I heard the teleportation has been turned off due to the dark times… How was it in the past?”

“You could go to two neighboring continents, then if you wanted to go further, you would’ve to take another teleport… We couldn’t teleport wherever we wanted from our continent,” Layla explained, then asked, “Why do you ask?”

“Teleports were heavily limited, but now they are all gone… Are those dark matter guys scared of humanity joining their hands or perhaps other races lending their hand? Well, that’s the theory I thought on the spot. Don’t overthink about it,” Reylin smiled and pounced at Layla.

It was time for some fun, and she immediately gave up after he kissed her.

She didn’t think of his theory at all, though it was highly plausible.

After Reylin relaxed in another world, he left it and went to sleep.

The next day, he logged into the game world and immediately went into action. Since it was the weekend, Reylin was early in the morning, and many residents hadn’t left their houses yet.

He strutted across the empty streets and smiled at every resident who gawked at him with a mixture of fear and confusion.

They had absolutely no idea why Reylin would appear on the streets with such a nickname, and they also questioned the guards. After all, if Reylin could just walk around like that, then what were they doing?

Of course, the guards were slacking.

Reylin saw their reactions well, and he imagined the church’s response to his appearance.

A plan was needed as he didn’t want to cause problems in the capital, but giving blessings to an unknown resident wouldn’t do much for him.

Reylin barely knew the church, so he went with a simple plan.

Milkyona’s appearance.

“It should be her’s church,” Reylin stared at a small church before himself.

In Exodium City, not every church was equal, and Milkyona’s believers were just a few here. The story about that woman was quite intriguing, however. She was known as the ascended of a few words whose flames did the most work.

Her fire saved many lives since the Faynom World was haunted by the meteors a few years ago. Those meteors became volcanoes after Milkyona had achieved understanding and her fire mana.

Of course, she wasn’t as popular as other ascended since volcanoes were most active. They did similar things to humans as meteors did but on a lower scale.

Milkyona’s name sounded different in a different continent, and her presence was much more significant, but Reylin couldn’t get that information.

All he knew was that Milkyona was your typical goddess-like existence.

She was above everyone else with her strength, so that was a given. Still, she was probably also a person who naturally resolved problems with just strength alone.

Those were Reylin’s thoughts, and he didn’t bother too much with these as Milkyona was probably around the end game.

He chuckled and used his Black Rose Class to invade the church!

“Who’s here?!” A voice stopped him, however.

Her voice was loud and urgent as she had sensed a presence hiding somewhere in the church. Any other visitor would have been welcomed brightly by her, but Reylin had a black nickname, so he didn’t even bother.

He appeared before her since she found him out.

“What a long title,” Reylin said, then smiled, “Nice to meet you, Priestess Emilia. I would like to discuss The Ascended, Milkyona with you.”

Priestess Emilia stared into his eyes, but she actually read the message about his black nickname. Everyone would get that, so the believer didn’t smile at all in Reylin’s presence.

Instead, she took out her staff and grasped the cross necklace with her other hand, “A player who goes against The Ascended. You want to get banished like other races?”

“Straight to the point, I like it,” Reylin sneered, then looked at her cross, “Your image of Milkyona is wrong. How can I tell? Because I have seen that woman.”

Reylin saw the priestess trembling, “Don’t tell me you need proof?” And he sneered as he asked this.

Of course, the proof wasn’t needed.

Reylin’s black nickname was enough.

“You look down on me,” Priestess Emilia replied, “What did you come here for? I don’t think you’ve willingly come here to give yourself.”

“I know that I am a solution to the resident’s worry, but I am not stupid enough to bless everyone. I am here to do business with you,” Reylin smiled widely.

Had Priestess Emilia’s hands been not stuffed with cross and staff, she would’ve long since hugged herself.

The way Reylin stressed out business sounded as if he wanted to eat her. He kept a wolfish grin on his face, and that was done deliberately.

You couldn’t always start a relationship in a nice way, and Reylin didn’t mind starting it in this way with a woman he met for the first time.

Of course, the business was a must here.

Otherwise, Emilia would share the news of his black name with the church, and it would spread like wildfire.

Reylin didn’t believe in failure, so he continued with his words, “I saw The Ascended, and I can increase my level to meet here in person… Isn’t that the end game anyway? Players fight back the dangerous dark matter and its people, then get rewarded by the ascended who had invited them here… That’s the plot, and I am sure you must’ve heard about it a few times.”

Emilia nodded.

“Don’t you want to meet her too?” Reylin sneered.

That sneer was like a taunt skill on its own, but Emilia didn’t falter.

Her mind shook, however, and she began pondering about this offer… She devoted her life to Milkyona as a volcano had saved her life once… That was quite a heartbreaking situation, so she didn’t want to think about it.

Instead, she thought about her devotion and her goal. That was to control all active volcanoes and use them for humanity!

That was her goal, and it began after the volcano killed the man who tried to kill her!

Men were never in her interest, but if one of them could bring her to the person she was fond of, then giving herself to him was undoubtedly a good option.

Just like Reylin could propose a business with blatant lust, Emilia could also just accept the offer.

Both of them thought about the goals!

Reylin just wanted information, and connection to the church wouldn’t hurt either.

Emilia had her goal, and Reylin seemed like a man who would be able to enable her.

Their eyes met, then Emilia whispered, “I want to meet Lord Milkyona. Even if it means working with a person who has gone against The Ascended, I don’t mind it. To die from the Lord’s hands, that would be the best death for me.”

Reylin glared at her, thinking that this woman needs serious treatment, “From this moment onward, you are my woman.”

And with this, it was time for an excellent talk in the church!
